Tucked in the Medina up by the Musee de Marrakech the Ali Ben Youssef Madrasa is a must see sight of the city. Ornate panelled doors are matched by the highly picturesque and details ceramic tiles which cover the floors, walls and walkways.
The student rooms are more like cells but those which have views over the courtyard with its huge central water feature are worth queing to get in to. Close you eyes and you can almost hear the rhythmic recitals of the students learning the Koran.
A photographer's paradise as well with great angles and lights.
