If you are looking for somewhere stylish and peaceful to stay in Marrakech, then this hotel will hit the spot. It has large, lovely gardens and a beautiful pool to relax by. We stayed for four nights and found it hit the spot. There are two downsides though. We found the restaurant to be disappointing - the food was fairly ordinary compared to the food we had at simpler hotels elsewhere in Morocco. One evening I had the 'Tagine of the day', which was the most disappointing meal I had in two weeks in Morocco!!! We had much better Moroccon food in the Medina. The menu is mainly French and OK but not exceptional. We preferred eating out of the hotel.
The other downsides in the cost of the private taxis to and from the hotel - it all adds up. While there is a shuttle bus into the city, we four the times didn't really work for us.
Regardless, we enjoyed our stay - it was a great place to relax at after sightseeing in Marrakech.

Room Tip: We had a suite which was large and spacious and overlooked the garden. We could hear footsteps above us, so I would have preferred a top floor suite. I didn't like the bathroom - the shower was over a huge bath which was cumbersome to get into to.

Hotel Les Deux Tours - Marrakech

We are a well traveled English couple in our early 50's and have traveled all over the world in the last 28 years staying in 2* accommodation to 5*+. This is an objective review of the hotel Les Deux Tours for a 4 night, "Get-a-way from the world" holiday in May 2014.

This was a last minute escape holiday. We normally book months in advance using a high street travel agent. This time we booked the hotel direct and booked separate flights with Easy Jet from Gatwick. The hotel arranged airport pick up and drop off in Marrakech, this all went without a hitch. However, do give yourself time on the homeward journey as things in Marrakech airport are a little on the slow side.

This is a very nice hotel, like a retreat; series of rooms all set within a walled garden. You could be completely cut off from the outside world if you wanted to be.

Our room was just perfect. Massive bed, massive bathroom, rain shower, big bath, 2 separate walk in dressing rooms, lounge area, big flat screen TV. Then we had our own pool that was loverly and refreshing with sun beds, chairs / table Etc. We also had another room that was like a conservatory in the garden that had a grassed area and 5 full grown palm trees. The whole lot was enclosed within a 7 ft high wall that had a formidable door in it that leads you into the hallway and onto the afore mentioned room. Our living area was massive, and we were totally cut off from the rest of the hotel.

We had complimentary toiletries, hair dryer, large safe and a fridge. No in room ironing facility but we understand that the hotel can arrange this.

The hotel itself has a nice garden with a small farm, chickens and goats. They also grow their own vegetables and herbs.

Although we did not use it the main pool is a good size for the hotel with plenty of sun beds and was very pleasant in appearance.

We used the spa once, and enjoyed the experience, we had a couples 3.5 hour treatment.

The staff are very polite and helpful.

The restaurant food is nice; we gave room service a try and that was okay.

Wifi. Now you should know that this is a pet hate of mine. I feel that it is quite ridiculous in this day and age to be asked to pay for this service. It is my opinion that wifi access should be free in almost all circumstances, it's a vital business / leisure tool for life in the 21st century and to charge for it when a facility is in place in a given location is just a ripoff. I am please to say the Wifi was free and available around the hotel, if a little slow at times.

In conclusion.

It all looks and feels very Agatha Christie, a blend of old word colonial charm and modern convenience.

We think this hotel is probably not the best choice for children but quite perfect for couples.

Top tip - If you like the sound of our holiday ask for pool suit 3.

Tip 2 - Try the Casablanca Beer.

Anyway, we loved it. As always a holiday is what you make it, we had a wonderful time. In the end you have to make up your own mind...

Thank you so much to all who made our stay so magical.

Best hotel we have ever stayed in. We booked the classic room, but got an upgrade to a pool suite - heaven. The only bad thing we have to say is that the room didn't have a full size mirror, only a small one in the (quite dark) bathroom. The food is excellent, I suggest trying the Lamb Tagine, which is enough to feed two! We tried a few restaurants in Marrakech, and this was definitely the best. All the food is produced on site too.

Room Tip: Ask for pool suite.

Lovely hotel out of the messy Marrakech, car horns and crowded streets...
This small hotel is so different from what you can see in the city that it is difficult to believe that you are in Morocco. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and very quiet, gardens just stunning, swimming pool and dinning area lovely... Staff just smilling and chatty making you feel at home. There is a little shop offering just a souvenirs from Morroco. They do serve alcohol in this hotel and Morrocan Medalion wine was a very nice surprise. Breakfast could be a bit better as there no veggies (no fresh nor grilled) and lunch and dinner menus are acceptable depending how long you are staying.
Ask hotel for the transfer from and to the airport as taxis are ripoff and most of cars look like scrap cars.
In big supermarkets (there is one close to hotel) you can buy booze and ciggies but keep in mind that this sections are closing earlier than supermarket so be there before 20:00. This is the best place to buy cigaretes as small shops (and even at the airport) are selling fake ones. If you are buying carton it will be cheaper than buying a box.
This hotel does not offer laundry service but they will iron your clothes free of charge if cotton of linnen.
There is mosquito electric thing in the room and they do provide a bottle of mineral watter every morning.
Morroco is not my cuppaT but if I ever come again I will defo stay in Les Deux Tours....
Thanks for everything

We're not fans of big multinational hotels, and this beautiful conversion of a group of villas in gardens outside Marrakech is certainly individual. Our room was lovely, and the semi-private spaces outside each suite give a sense of space. We were there early in the Easter holidays so there were several other families with children, and there wasn't really enough space around the pool. Service was friendly and courteous but sometimes a little slow especially around the pool, and breakfast was a little chaotic when busy though staff worked hard to keep things stocked up.
Perhaps because we'd just come from glorious Imlil we were a little alarmed at some of the (very Western-posh-hotel) prices, and having paid the room rate it just irks then to be charged a premuim mark-up for a soft drink from the mini-bar which you know costs a third that in the local shops.
The shuttle bus into town works well; 3 trips, and the bus staff very happy to be booked as a private taxi for return trips at other times. This made it very easy to eat out in town, which provided an alternative to the pricey and rather limited menu in the (beautiful) restaurant.
The hotel kitchen garden a lovely spot - the swing seats a nice touch - and the turtles in the ponds entertaining.
Overall a gorgeous, luxurious and slightly quirkly place away from the bustle of town, but with a few irritations that for us detracted a little from the overall effect
