“A lovely stay from all perspectives!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 October 2013

Just returned from a lovely stay in Marrakech where my family and I (including 2 young children) spent 4 nights at Riad Nashira. Everything was perfect, just to our satisfaction. And just when I threw an impossible request at Fatima, she was able to deliver!

- The staff was so lovely with our children! As we stayed there for 4 days, they were very aware of things they liked and didn't, very accommodating of our many kid-centered requests.
- The riad is beautiful, well-kept, exquisitely clean.
- It is a little bit of a trek through the souks to get to Jemma el Fna but we sort of enjoyed our daily walk, getting lost in the souks since that is part of the fun. We really felt we knew our way around by the end of our time there! It is also a nice touch that they show you the way the first time you go.
- Had the most AMAZING massage of my life. It was heaven, blissful, no words can describe.
- Our room was beautiful and huge (it was a suite) and perfect for our family of 4.
- Fatima organized multiple last minute things including the AMAZING massage noted above as well as some trendy dinner reservations. In addition, I was able to organize a driver, car and car seats for my children for our trip to the desert in advance over email! A miracle!

Highly recommended!

This was our first visit to Marrakech and we travelled with our two friends. We chose the riad because we wanted to be in the Medina and we wanted a nice place to stay. We chose Riad Nashira from its description and also the reviews which were on Tripadvisor. When we arrived at the Riad it was much better than we had envisaged, we were overawed at the beauty and tranquility which you enter when you leave the hectic area of the Medina. We were collected from the airport by a driver arranged by the riad staff and were shown around the whole of the riad by Btissam. The spa looked lovely but we didnt use it as our stay was fairly short. The roof terrace was also exceptionally nice and we could eat our dinner by the pool in the evening. We dined a couple of times and the food was nice. Our bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms were really luxurious and roomy. The staff are all very helpful and will arrange outings for you if required. One evening we were looking for a particular restaurant but could not find it and returned to the riad where someone came out to accompany us to the place. We visited Marrakech in mid September and would highly recommend Riad Nashira as an excellent place to stay within the Medina (Old City). All the staff were very friendly and helpful and had a good sense of humour!

My wife and I travelled to Marrakech to enjoy the chaos of the city and the old town (Medina). So it was perfect that once we were ready to escape the mayhem and relax away from it all Riad Nashira was close by as our oasis. The building is unassuming from the outside (like most buildings in the old town but once you enter the beautiful door you know you are somewhere you can feel safe and relaxed.

The building itself is a very nice modern take on a Riad (Moroccan townhouse) style building but with all the mods and cons. The place is kept immaculately clean with staff cleaning every day, the fountain courtyard is lovely to relax and enjoy some mint tea, the swimming pool is just the right size to enjoy, and the sun terrace on the roof has plenty of space to relax in private even if there are other people on the roof.

Our room was lovely and a good size with a high roof, good air conditioning, a large bed, lovely decorations, a good size shower and toilet, along with a separate ‘bathroom/dress’ area interlinking the bathroom to the bedroom. In the room was an LCD TV, a computer in the room and free WiFi. And considering the building is in the old town where locals are living next door and nearby – importantly the rooms were absolutely silent and thick curtains blocked out the morning sunlight until you were ready for the day.

The location of the Riad is a 10min walk through the Souks to the main square and although not far, it will take you a time get familiar with the walk along the narrow confusing streets. Helpfully the staff member from the Riad will accompany you the first time you walk to the square to help you get your bearings and orient you.

We had lunch a few times by the pool and up on the terrace and the menu at the Riad is fairly basic but the food was nice. The dinner menu has more options on it so as a treat on our last night we decided to stay in and have dinner on the roof terrace with the sun setting. The staff set us up with a lovely table on the roof for us to enjoy our lovely meals of drinks. A perfect end to our lovely stay in Riad Nashira.

Although we never used the Spa services, the Spa area looked lovely and am sure that the service and experience on offer would be enjoyable.

Aside from the location and the lovely building, and enjoying out trip to Marrakech – the highlight of our Moroccan trip were the wonderful staff. All staff spoke English and were friendly in such a genuine manner that we were made to feel welcome as if we were staying with family and not in accommodation. They provided us with lots of information and helped with planning our onward journey to Rabat and nothing was ever a problem. Every day we had great chats with the staff at breakfast, sitting in the courtyard having lovely mint team and whenever we were planning something to do next. The level of customer service from Fatima, Btissam, Tarik at the front desk – along with the service from all the waiting and service staff was a breath of fresh air and would make us happily come back to Riad Nashira again.

Things To Do
- Do a camel ride at sunset
- Do a tour with a local guide (hotel can arrange) and you'll get to go off the beaten track through the old town
- Enjoy a meal nearby at 'Le Foundouk' for a lovely dinner on the restaurant roof terrace
- Go to nearby 'Café Arabe' and enjoy a nice meal and rooftop cocktails
- Dress up for a night out at 'Palais Jad Mahal' for a meal, belly dancing show, and then dance the night away in the bar

Room Tip: I believe all rooms would be nice and quiet. Our room next to the pool was fine and there was very...

We chose the Riad based on the reviews from Tripadvisor. Upon arrival- after being picked up by the driver and met at the entrance of the road through unpaved roads- we arrived at the riad and was met with the most friendly lady at the front desk. She explained in detail with a map of the must-dos and arranged for restaurant reservations and booked our spa hammad. She then arranged the porter to walk with us and show us the way to the central piazza and the souk. I don't think we could have found our way there or back, for that matter, had he not shown us how to get around the old city. The breakfast was a simple fare. The fresh orange juice was the highlight for me as the breakfast spread consist mostly of pastries. My husband and I really enjoyed the hammad at the riad. The spa rooms were small but it was able to accommodate both of us and the experience was pure bliss. The owner, who is Italian, apparently owns also Spa Rose in the center as well as another restaurant where we had enjoyed our Italian lunch--which was a nice change after a few days of tanjine back to back. It is really an oasis in the middle of all the action in Marrakech old quarter. One can even hear the birds chirping away in the morning which I had originally mistaken for the sound recording.

We stayed at Riad Nashira in early June, period also excellent from every point of view, pleasant climate and not too much confusion around.
The Riad is the best you can find in the Medina, its elegant design blends easily into the narrow streets and the magical atmosphere of the surrounding area.
Location! - the best souks starting just a few minutes walk from the front door of the Riad Nashira, and it’s only 5 minutes from the main square Jemaa El Fna (so beautiful, especially at night ...).

The rooms are fantastic, spacious, air conditioned & tastefully decorated. I really liked the interior design, we see that the owners have direct experience with local private Riad, because once you enter the inner courtyard you really feel like staying in an authentic elegant Moroccan palace.
All ground floor rooms have direct access to the indoor pool and the upstairs bedrooms enjoy a magnificent view of the inner courtyard.
The terrace is the ideal place to relax after a hard day of …shopping - equipped with tables and comfy deck-chairs and sun-loungers. The staff very polite and helpful.
Breakfast enriched with typical local products, service always very good.
We got to only have one dinner at the Riad, and the experience was so beautiful that we were almost sorry not to have had more! ..with candle-lit tables by the pool, where we enjoyed a memorable Tajine, accompanied by a good red Moroccan wine (thoroughly recommended), romantic, enhanced by hifi music . Impeccable service.

I will highly recommend this Riad to everyone. Good place to stay either with friend, who want to discover Marrakech/Medina, or for business.
I especially love the SPA / Hamman there, is sooooo soothing and staff here are all amazing. I was very surprised that there is so.
This hotel is really cared for and a genuine feeling that your custom is appreciated (very rare these days!! And I’m picky!). Thank you.

We were 4 friends staying in this riad for two nights to celebrate my birthday during the first weekend of June. There are not that many hotels that leave a unique, long lasting and positive imprint on your memories. Riad Nashira & Spa in Marrakech is one of them. You realize as soon as you cross the elegant entrance wooden door after flowing thru the narrow and chaotic streets of the Medina. The nice decor and peaceful background ambiance music transport you to a different place, far from the busy activity in the nearby streets. This is nothing compared to the interaction with the super-friendly and always helpful staff of Nashira. Fatima, Tariq and the rest of the team made of our stay a dream, making sure every detail was perfect. I can not thank Fatima, Tariq and the team enough the surprise birthday cake they prepared by surprise. This is a memory that will stay in our hearts for ever. We will come back for sure.

Beautiful building, very close to all main sights and attractions, every single member of staff was helpful and friendly, nothing was ever too much trouble. A great base for exploring the wonders of the city and lovely to come and rest in the evenings. A home from home. Thanks to all of you who made our stay so memorable.
