This was like staying in our own personal palace! Beautiful, calm and peaceful surroundings - both the lovely intimate room and bathroom, which were spotlessly clean, and the luxurious lounge areas around the plunge pool were perfect for relaxing after sight-seeing and shopping in the souks. Breakfast was delicious - an extensive selection of cakes, pastries, pancakes and yoghurt with freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee. The home-cooked evening meal we had in was out of this world! Definitely a must-have! Youssef and all his staff were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming - nothing seemed to be too much trouble and they seemed genuinely concerned that we enjoyed our stay. Cannot fault this place or its location - within minutes of all the main sights.

It was our first experience in Marrakech and the riad was the perfect place to sample the Morrocan culture . It was right in the middle of Medina and just a stone throw away from the central Market .the staff were amazing and going out of the way to make our stay enjoyable and definitely its a place i would stay the next time we visit Marrakech.

The downside was thta the other rooms were a bit smaller but we were oved to the bigger room as it was off peak . We enjoyed our stay at the Riad .the smaller room was a bit cold but this was soon sorted out soon as we brought to the attention of the staff . the other thing we didnt enjoy was the breakfast we would have preferred if they had a variety in terms of breakfast.,

Youssef and his staff bend over backward to make your stay comfortable and stress free. The riad is an oasis of calm amid the medina and has an ideal location. Breakfast on the terrace was a great way to start the day. Thankyou

Would absolutely stay again if passing through Marrakech.

Pros:

Competent, helpful, and friendly staff.

Wonderful breakfast spread (but get up early if you want truly hot coffee).

Beautiful and intimate space (only 8 rooms), every inch elaborately decorated, with atmospheric music and rich exotic scent in the common areas.

Good location: on a quiet side street, but still very close to the action.

Cons:

Hot water in our room was used up pretty fast - after about 5 minutes it turned lukewarm, then soon cold.

The rooms are a little on the small side - though this is compensated for by the fact that the riad includes many cozy nooks, as well as a rooftop, to lounge in.

My parents stayed at this Riad. I found Youssef to be very helpful from the point of me booking the accomodation and receiving my parents. I was able to contact them without any problem and Youssef tried to be as accomodating as possible. The location was excellent, walking distance of the main attractions. My parents were pleased with the service as well and how they were taken care of. They only minor point they had was regarding the breakfast, which they found was limited, I think there was little in the way of english breakfast options like cereals, breads fried eggs etc but aside from that they had a very nice stay..Thank you to the staff for looking after them

The location is great, just 5 mins from the main square, then the service is fantastic, with the staff attending to your every need. Then to top it off, the food was as good as anything that we had in any of the top restaurants. We could have easily stayed in for dinner every night. The terrace is also great and the decor is traditionally moroccan and v peaceful.

The Riad Melhoun is a lovely place tucked away from all the noise but yet right in the Medina. We were welcomed warmly with the traditional tea in front of one of the beautiful pools . From there we were shown to our room which was very nice with a good bathroom. The bed was decorated with a rose sheet and came with dressing gowns and all the trimmings. Breakfast was very good and available at any time you wake up which was great. We were off on very early trips on two mornings and the staff were very kind and did our breakfast at 6h30 for us. The inside of the hotel is lovely and the sunny roof terrace great for breakfast. We had dinner in the hotel on one evening and had lovely food and great service. A real traditional Riad but done well so you get everything you would want from a modern hotel at the same time
