“Medina Experience”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

We visited Marrakech and decided to see for ourselves what the fuss was about. Soon as we got near the markets we had a gentleman ask us if we were looking for anything specific. Word of advice do not be rude or ignore these gentleman, best answer is to say just looking thank you. The markets are in fact very busy and you can get anything you want from beautiful Moroccan craft to fake Hollister flip flops. Always bargain up to 60% on what ever you want to purchase and keep your money safe. The Medina has some nice places to eat (not posh) from Kebabs to Pizzas to the Traditional Tajine. Overall a very good experience specially if you enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city.

“Interesting and lively”
Reviewed 12 July 2014

Fascinating experience you will never forget from the almost medieval street markets to the beautiful mosques and the vibrant and lively souks. Be prepared to be approached constantly with offers of taxis, guides etc. don't get I to any conversation or the expectation is for some money to change hands for the exchange of information

“A place to get lost”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

The many nooks and crannies of the Medina are a pleasure to wander through and possibly loss one's way in the many narrow street and alleyways. You are assailed by the many smells of leather and spice that permeate the air. Keep the mood light and be pleasant to the many merchants offering their wares, a firm no should be sufficient. It can be hot and stuffy so ensure you have enough water with you until you see the light of day. It is something that should not be missed during any visit to Marrakech.

Great for browsing around stalls and getting a feel for Moroccan food and lifestyle. Worth looking down the little alleyways and exploring

“Amazing by night, quiet by day”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

We visited the Medina twice during our stay and night visits are a must! During the day it's really quiet and there isn't much to see.
Our night visit we sat on the terrace at one of the restaurants and sipped on mint tea whilst enjoying the view of the amazing lights of the Medina. Something that has to be done!!!
A lot of people trying to sell things and loads of entertainment. Definitely a site to see :-)
