I spent a week over New Year at this fabulous hotel. My room with a private pool was lovely and spacious and very comfortable. The hotel itself is beautiful and laid out over a few acres of gardens with a range of different rooms - I had a look at a few others and all looked great. The staff are all extremely helpful and the bar and restaurant well appointed with a good range of food and drinks, plus a variety of places to eat - indoors in the restaurant, in the bar area, upstairs on the sun-drenched terrace (perfect for getting a bit of late December / January sunshine), by the pool or outdoors by the bar. The owners, Tara and Ed are very helpful with ideas of things to do and the manager, Aiden, couldn't do more to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. All in all a wonderful hotel with easy access from the UK. I'll definitely be back!

My husband and I spent New Years Eve in one of the deluxe suites with pool and had a really great time.

The grounds are well set out with lots of private sun bed areas tucked away here and there. The suite itself was really big, had a deep bath as well as a separate wet room area and was very light and well designed. I love the decor of this place, it's very stylish and not at all corporate in feel. The private garden with sunny and shady areas, and the pool were very relaxing,

Tara and Ed were so welcoming, they treat everyone as though they are old friends, which adds to the house party feel of the Capaldi.

The food was fantastic, we had a tasting menu where every dish was carefully prepared, mainly French in style.

After dinner we returned to the suite and found the fire had been lit so we saw in the New Year with a nightcap by the fireplace.

Breakfast on the rooftop terrace next day was all very fresh and delicious and with a fantastic view over the High Atlas mountains. We were kindly allowed to stay in the suite until late afternoon so lay out under the baking sun, trying to find excuses to stay for another week!

We will certainly be back.

Room Tip: Splash out on a suite with a private pool!

We stayed for one night at the end of our one week in Morocco and had found an exquisite stay for our last night. We loved our one night but I'd definitely recommend staying 2, 3, 4 or even 5 nights!

We toured the grounds on our arrival and stopped for a drink in the bar where we met the hosts who were the most gracious lovely people. After an hour back in our room I mentioned when going to the restaurant that it was a little chilly - before I knew it the Manager had organised for the open fire to be lit so the room was warm on our return.

The food was delicious and presented as though you were in a London Michelin star restaurant. Service was excellent and after dinner we sat around the fire with a glass of wine chatting - we really didn't want to move!

Breakfast was on the terrace and we did find the menu confusing over what we could have and what were the options but all of it was again delicious.

When we were ready to leave we were given directions to several spots to stop on our drive back to the airport and had about 5 hand-drawn maps in the end - it just shows the value they put on personal service.

I'd love to go back for a longer stay - this really is a gem out of the main city.

What can I say, a most relaxing experience, fantastic service, delightful hosts, food was amazing. If you want somewhere to chill and recuperate, this is it. Our only issue was that we couldn't stay longer, a true hidden gem.

We had a four night stay at the Capaldi in a Junior Farmhouse Suite and couldnt have been made more welcome. The whole ambience of the Capaldi is restful and relaxing, staff are highly attentive without being invasive. The decor and layout have been well thought out and Tara's touches everywhere are evident! Our hosts could not have been more helpful or made our stay more enjoyable - organising dune buggying, guides, trips…. Our only regret is not managing a couple of nights at the Capaldi Riad in the middle of Marrakech as well - next time maybe!

We had hoped it might be nice as the travel agent had raved about it. We didn't expect to love it the way we did. The rooms, the decor, the ambiance, the food, the setting, the gardens, the view, the sunrise, the cinema and of course the fantastic hosts Tara and Ed. The Capaldi doesn't feel like a hotel, much too friendly and intimate for that. Can't wait to go back next year, it really is just perfect.
