I had booked the riad rime through their own web page for two nights l, duly arrived and was told they wouldn't /couldn't houner my booking as they were fully booked. I was left with no option but to find alternative arrangements in marrakech on a holiday weekend. I managed to find unsuitable accommodation for one night. That night I managed to book the raid rime through booking.com for the next night. I entered my details as requested by booking.com and was informed I would have to pay in local currency at the riad. I turned up the next afternoon and had to wait outside in the street until someone appeared, after ten minutes someone appeared. Our room wasn't ready so we left our bags and went for a walk, after an hour it was finally ready. The room was tidy and clean enough but the telly didn't work and there was no towels/soap in the shower.

Every time we went out we had to wait outside on our return as there was never anyone at reception and we were not issued with a front door key, the room was very noisy at nights with other guests returning without keys and having to press the bell to get in..a very strange set up indeed. Breakfast was unspectacular but edible.
On my departure I paid in cash and vowed to put the whole escapade down to experience, next day I was informed by booking .com that the raid had informed them I hadn't turned up and they had debited my bank account, despite informing booking.com on various occasions(at least six e mails) and been promised I would be refunded they have ignored my last two e mails and seem to have washed their hands of any responsibility for this matter.
I have stayed in marrakech a number of times and also travelled throughout morocco , I have also booked with booking.com a number of times with no problems. But be rest assured I will NEVER STAY IN THE RIAD RIME AGAIN AND DEFINITELY NEVER BOOK WITH BOOKING.COM AGAIN. So beware. Also don't let this review put you off marrakech it's a fantastic city and there are some fantastic places to visit just not here or thorough booking.com

This riad is located in the Medina, few minutes walk from the square. The hosts were really accommodating and hospitable, very nice and lovely too. They offer day trips and airport transfers if you need it in a very affordable price. They upgraded our room without increase in our payment. My husband and I had been looked after very well in Riad Rime and we are definitely coming back.

This was our last night in morocco and we were disappointed with this Riad after staying in such elegant rooms for a similar price in essaoira and tetuan. Don't choose the room downstairs as the air conditioning was leaking and fed into the shower tray, which wasnt draining properly. We also couldn't get it to work and there was no one on hand to help fix it when we returned from the square at about 11.30pm. It was so hot we didn't sleep at all and when we spoke to the staff member who should have been there the night before, he simply said it wasn't his problem, which was really rude. The other member of staff who worked in the mornings was very understanding and was genuinely concerned that we were upset and tried his best to resolve the problem.

I really enjoyed staying at this riad. While it was difficult to find the first night, we had to have a man with a pushcart show us where it was, you got the hang of maneuvering the derbs pretty quickly. The staff was very friendly and also spoke English, which was a relief. Fatima was very sweet and made breakfast on the roof every morning and kept the whole building very clean. The room we stayed in was right off the lobby, so it could be loud and we were worried about being to loud at night. I don't think it was ever a problem. There was an air conditioner, which we didn't use, but would have been nice because it was rather humid. The bathroom was well kept and the bed was comfortable. The staff was also very friendly in letting us into the building at night, as it was always kept locked, even when we came in late. It was also a very convenient location, just a 5 minute walk to Djemaa el-fna. At night the derbs are fairly empty, other than the riad workers who sit outside of their doors to let people in. I never felt unsafe. Overall, a great find. I would highly recommend staying here!
