“Poor start to any Holiday”
Reviewed 2 August 2014 via mobile

Nice hotel, lovely gardens, lovely swimming pool and no problem with getting double sun loungers as we were more or less the only guests there for two days and home alone for the remaining two! The hotel felt as if it was closed and we as guests were in the way if the staff! Food and wine menus were limited and mostly unavailable. Actually ran out of wine and only one type if beer available. Food was hurriedly prepared and not edible. Lights out after 10, in fact lights out in general. The spa was closed and there was no mention of it being otherwise. Advice from staff about local issues was limited and inaccurate. Even in check out morning they stopped me to charge me for a gin and tonic from the mini bar! I would only recommend this hotel for one to two nights max and as long as other guests were staying there. We felt totally let down by the experience in Marrakech but please don't let it put you off visiting other beautify placed in Morocco!

Our stay at the hotel was nothing short of wonderful. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating from the outset, making our 4-day stay at Palais de l'O feel like a home from home. The decor is fabulous, giving a modern yet traditional feel. The hotel is about a 15 - 20 minute drive from the old town (Medina). Transfers are provided by the hotel or you can opt to have a local taxi arranged - only slightly cheaper. The hotel's food was delicious, with a feast for a breakfast every morning.

The reception staff assisted my partner in planning the most perfect surprise for my birthday and provided us with a long list of recommendations of restaurants and activities to visit/do during our stay. The spa was an excellent experience, staff were again, friendly and accommodating. We were offered a late check out, and given the late flight home, was much appreciated.

I look forward staying here again during my next visit to Marrakech.

Room Tip: Try to choose a room close to reception to enure wifi can be picked up

This small hotel and spa is about 6 km outside of the city in a very quiet area. The staff is so nice and very accommodating. We stayed in the main building in two lovely rooms, beautifully decorated and just the right size. Both had balconies. The breakfast that is included was the best we had in all of Morocco - fruit, yogurt, eggs, orange juice, coffee, tea, pastries. The pool is lovely with lot of lounges to relax and surrounded by gardens. The staff can arrange tours and will loan you a cell phone so that you can call if you get lost or need help. Perfect spot

I spent many days in this peaceful place. Very limited number of guests which makes u benefit alone from a great pool, jacuzzi, sauna and Hammam like they r urs. However, the hotel needs a lot of effort to meet the standards as its premises lack of hygiene.

Had a lovely few days staying at Palais de L'O . Nice clean room and friendly staff. Had good spa treatments. Hotel was quiet so could have a nice relaxing time. Little bit out of town which was good as meant my wife did not want to go shopping too much!

This hotel was absolutely stunning. It lived up to our high expectations in terms of decor ; the room was beautiful, the pool was amazing and the spa was wonderful as well. Although it was initially hard to find the hotel (no sign??) it really was a sanctuary one we had checked in.

We were offered mint tea upon check in and late check out free of charge, which was very much appreciated.

Whilst we loved our stay, there were a few things we missed. There was no snacks available at all, we wished we'd brought some with us had we known this. Service was slow at times, and we were also surprised to pay a premium for water. Wifi only really worked when standing close to the reception area. Despite this we would recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet and beautiful getaway.

This hotel is 6*
The staff are so pleasant
The rooms are amazing
The service was like I was a king!
Pool is spotless
(Please ignore any negative comments)

We were there for a 3 night break, on arrival had some tea and spot of dinner , the food was great, service lovely, wine great all overlooking the pool area which has been kitted out just perfect . Tbe rooms are decorated in a very sleek stylish way, the maids had done an amazing job every day.
The hotel is located 15 min from the town center but a cab will cost 200d each way but not a bother!!
This hotel is so much better than I expected. All the hotel staff are so welcoming. I would recommend this hotel for couples or a girls weekend, very relaxing place

Thank you to everyone at palais de l o
