Absolutely brilliant in every respect. In the heart of Medina, practically next to Medersa Ben Youssef and Muse Marrakech, short walk to Place Jemaa El Fna, and yet tucked away in a quiet alley (perfectly safe!). Once you are in, you find yourself in a beautiful courtyard with palm trees - an oasis of peace and quiet. Beautifully decorated in a local style and very clean. Our room was very spacious, with a large bathroom providing a number of shelves to put down toiletries – rare even in very expensive hotels.
But most importantly the owner. Thierry, went out of his way to welcome us and to provide us with all the information we needed. He arranged taxis, guides, booked restaurants, provided delicious local wine - just ask, and he will do anything. He picked us up personally from a taxi which had to stop a couple of streets away from the Riad, and dropped us off on the last day. His son frequently accompanied us to ensure that we would not get lost in the labyrinth of souks and little streets, and Fatima, with her most charming personality and always smiling, ensured that we had a fabulous breakfast every day, plenty of tea “on demand” during the day and delicious dinner when we stayed in for the night. Everyone was so warm and friendly that after three nights on our departure we felt we were leaving a family behind.More
