Owner description: Nicely designed and maintained gardens, similar to those of Generalife in Granada, Spain. It’s a good place to recoup from the intensity of the market atmosphere.

Second visit to Jardin Majorelle, and as beautiful and tranquil as before, so peaceful here, after the wonderful craziness of Marrakech, got here early to avoid the crowds:) fabulous place to take lots of photos, infact since I returned to the UK I had a couple of my photos developed and blown up to poster size, to frame and hang in my lounge, they look beautiful and a reminder of my lovely holiday.I spent a couple of hours here walking around, taking pictures and then had a café au lait in the café sitting by the roaring fire, highly recommended.

Our visit to the Jardin Majorelle was a short one. After entering through a very attractive door, we had the opportunity to freely walk through the gardens. Apart from a nice gazebo near the entrance, there was however nothing special. It seemed like any other ordinary palm tree garden. If you were to venture over to the left, you could see through a large gate into what was basically a building site. After venturing past the rather dull Yves Saint-Laurent monument, we were finally greeted by something interesting. A beautiful pond and a lovely over-vegetated bridge that then led us to the vibrant cactus farm that sat next to a large bright blue building. This was more like it! However, to our disappointment, that was it. There was nothing else to these famed gardens. So be warned, if you're expecting a grandiose walk then you might as well go somewhere else. However, for a quick short walk around a rather pleasant environment, go for it.

The gardens themselves are well worth the trip out of the medina and the Berber museum is full of wonderful objects, displayed with lots of additional information about Berber life and culture.

Beautiful! And after the hassle and bustle of the markets and traders it is a welcome chill out. Also nice shops around and cafés to eat
