Really lovely walking around the garden, it's not massive but meander round and enjoy the peace and quiet, bright colours and pretty plants.

Got to see a man trimming off the palm trees with just a rope as his safety harness!

Lovely place, highly recommended.

Lovely gardens. A short visit is more than enough. The cafe is not cheap but it is very picturesque, good French food (in case you want a break from all the Moroccan food) and efficient service. The cafe has misters to help with the heat. Nice store. Garden gets pretty crowded, not very meditative.

Marjorelle Gardens was one of the attractions I wanted to visit on our recent trip to Marrakech as I'm interested in different garden styles. I certainly wasn't disappointed. There was a cooling and calming atmosphere to the place as we walked along the pathways through the various garden rooms. I was quite taken by the colours which dominated - yellow, blue and orange, and the plants blended so well with these. The cacti garden is quite superb and extensive and quite a photographer's paradise with the many varieties of cacti and the interesting ways they show themselves through their flowers and spikes. Even my husband said it was one of the best he'd walked through! A must on a visit to Marrakech.

We went on a hot morning in June 2010. Arrived and departed by Caleche, costing about 100 MDH for each trip. Quite a nice garden, made up of various palms, some shady spots, and a cactus garden. The courtyard cafe is pleasant with cooling mist jets and we had lunch there. It is rather expensive though, costing about £10 each for a panini with salad. The museum was closed when we were there.
