this is a very stylish hotel, but not OTT, fairly simple in design, which is based on the Riad style. huge and comfortable lobby, with a 'Phantom of the Opera' type chandelier, and a fabulous Moorish domed ceiling.
the Reception staff are not just effiecient and helpful, they are all really nice people: Customer service 100%.
my room was a good size, with a super king size bed (i'd asked for a double bed) - a firm mattress, and good pillows. lovely cotton sheets and pillowcases, and a balcony overlooking the garden and pool. a pretty garden.
the landings all have lozenge shaped stained glass in the windows, which looks gorgeous when the sun is shining through. i imagine it also helps the hotel stay cool in the hot summer months.
everything is kept absolutely spotless, and i noticed that the maids bring fresh roses in every day which are placed in the public areas. those girls work their socks off, and are very demure and sweet.
the breakfast is fine, usual hotel fare, but nice to be able to choose an omlette or pancakes as well as the buffet stuff. the coffee's pretty OK considering it's from an urn. the mint tea is really nice.
i'd definately go back there, and would definately recommend it very highly. it's well placed, and the Tourist bus stops outside, which is very convenient, and the 2 tours are good - one is around the outskirts of the town, and one is within the town. the 48 hour ticket is good as you can get off and find places to eat, etc., as well as explore. it's less fiddly than using usual city buses, and so easy for visiting the Souk or the big square, and for going to restaurants for lunch. the service stops at 6pm. taxi's are inexpensive, and the drivers are friendly and good fun, and yet another source of good info.
i missed out on the 'passport' the hotel offered, but i think it gives a discount for the Tourist bus, and maybe for museums. i wasn't paying attention, but def worth looking at.
so ooooo......lovely hotel, very relaxing, can't fault it

A pretty good hotel if you take the B&B option. The staff are largely very friendly and helpful. After a few minor teething problems getting a decent room, it all went very well. Breakfast is very good, though I would not recommend the half-board option unless you can live on salads, of which there is a decent selection. And the buffet option is basically the same every day. We opted for that £15 a head buffet as a special treat one night and it was, well, a bit dodgy. The salads are great but the mains are poor quality meat and, whatever it is they were punting as chicken, well, It might have been mutton but with dark brown meat and weird bones, it certainly wasn't chicken (I did ask but they insisted it was). Don't let that put you off, though, because there are plenty of great places to eat all around. A couple of quid (20-30 Dh) should get a taxi to the Djemma el Fna and the hotel does a nice line in camel treks for approx £20. There is a big Acime supermarket 10 minutes away (the receptionist will direct you) where you can get water and juice at a fraction of the hotel price - and although there is a ban on taking food and drink into the hotel that's what your bags are for, sneaking in the midnight snacks. We got a great deal on this through Groupon and we would stay there again on a B&B basis.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony and make sure you are not overlooking the street..

Really nice hotel, friendly staff and perfect location. We were worried initially as we had booked this deal through Groupon and although we had seen bad reviews about KP Travel we were really suprised how smoothly it all was! Very relaxing and a great place to chill out and to see the souks when you want to. Not sure if this really is four star as if you go accross the road (Renaissance hotel marrakech morocco) is more like it! Bad points was it was same same everyday and you had to pay for drinks, overall still would recommend the place!

Room Tip: ask for a room with a pool side view

We spent seven nights at this hotel, and found it to be a enjoyable experience. We did bed and breakfast, and could not say anything negative about our breakfast, freshly made omelettes delicious, pancakes with honey so nice, plenty of pastries, cereals, fresh orange juice, plenty of tea and coffee.
We were in room 503, had a lovely view from our balcony, it wasn't noisy. We could get the Internet easily opposite our room was a couple of cosy chairs and table we sat there for Internet and it was very peaceful, no one else around.
Our room was clean ( the maids were all very friendly) beds made up every day and arranged very pretty! the shower was good always hot water!
We chose to eat out and easily found good food in walking distance.
Everyone we saw and spoke to at reception were friendly and helpful.
A perfect hotel to come back to and relax after the mad and I mean mad souks and medina.
We would certainly recommend Diwane Hotel.

We spent a 4day weekend in March and were blessed with beautiful sunshine - and the hotel has a lovely outdoor area with pool and a good number of pool loungers with towels provided which we enjoyed. The room was clean and had a nice sunny balcony and nice fresh linen and bonus was a little bar fridge (needed for water in the heat:). The main restaurant served excellent lunches each day with a wide variety of food options - breakfast was a little sparse. Only warning would be to avoid the 2nd restaurant (italian a la carte close to the pool). We had a meal there which was soup (straight off the buffet and no flavour at all) followed by Pizza (tated of nothing at all seriously) and then to finish my fiance ordered a fruit salad and was presented with an apple, banana, whole orange and a strawberry - and a butter knife to dig her way through. Expensive for what is was and arguably th worst meal out in a long long time. The hotel otherwise was lovely (about a 20minute walk to the market so get a taxi if its hot) and staff were pleasant. We did however have someone entering our room in the afternoon while we were asleep (twice) and someone opened the door in the morning and left it ajar -- so we promptly paid for a lockup safe (20 Dirhums per day) as there was no reason for someone to be coming in when we had the "do not disturb" sign up. The hotel has a bureau de change which is convenient. Id definitely recommend and AMAZING restaurant we found down the same road (8min walk) called Rotisserie de le Paix (68 yougoslavia road) great outdoor garden with palms and fountains and brilliant fresh salads and grilled meats at reasonable prices.

Room Tip: Ask for 1st or 2nd floor pool facing as the higher the noisier

We went there for a groupon promotion, so we were a little concern about what we could find. The Hotel is very well located, just 20 minutes walking from La Medina.
The staff in the hotel are friendly, really helpful, and worried to give good recommendations. Especially Mouna and Aissam.
The room had a very nice view, very clean, in general the bedroom was very comfortable.
Breakfast was nice, different sweets, cakes. Nice omelets every day.
If it is possible try the Mint tea and the spa.
For the value this is an excellent hotel, we don´t hesitate to recommend it.

Room Tip: Wi fi is not available in rooms, but there is in the reception area.

For the money, this hotel is great. It is incredibly clean and very comfortable. The staff could not have been more helpful. The reception staff recommended a lovely restaurant nearby where locals eat, which was so cheap and delicious. The porter even took us there so we didn't get lost. We were also recommended a spa - Le Bain Blue - which was to die for.
We only ate breakfast at the hotel, but it was more than adequate. It is a self-service buffet with pastries galore. Hot food was primarily toast, pancakes or omlettes, but really that was fine. Coffee and juice was plentiful too.
The room was not large but more than enough space for 2 adults, with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool over to the Atlas Mountains.
The hotel is a good 25 minutes walk from the main city centre but to be honest the square and the souks are so manic that it was nice to walk back or jump in a taxi to regain a little calm. There are several bars & restaurants nearby too.
Wifi is freely available in reception, which is full of comfy sofas. So anyone moaning about not being able to get wi-fi in their room is being a bit picky given that this is Marrakech.
My only complaint would be the spa. This shouldn't be deemed a spa hotel. My partner & I booked massages for our last afternoon at 4pm - before we had to leave for the airport. At 4pm my partner was called in for his, then I waited until 4.30 to be called for mine. Thankfully we had enough time in hand, but we had booked for them both to be done together. Whilst I was waiting the staff were having an almighty row and the therapist who massaged me was little more than perfunctory. The massage was perfectly nice, but there are far nicer spas in the city.

Room Tip: The higher the room, the better the view.
