Excellent food, fabulous service and beautiful buildings. Right in the centre of the city; 5 mins from the fun (although until you get your bearings the souks are quite confusing and you will probably get lost!). Would recommend the supper, which for us arriving late in the evening meant we were relaxed and then ready to start exploring the following day. The staff are fantastically helpful and polite; nothing was too much hassle. Breakfast on the roof terrace (or later night morroccan tea) is to be recommended! I would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed staying 5 days in this Riad. We were picked up by a taxi driver at the airport (Reservation needed via the Riad cost 25€). The staff is very gentle and helpfull, and was able to give us good suggestions on how to visit Marrakech. Spend a day in the Atlas mountains with the same cabdriver who took us at the airport. Price was good. We also had a very good dinner in the Riad for a good price. The riad is well located in a quiet and well maintained neighbourhood. Only 10 minutes walking from the Jamaa El Fna square. This riad made our stay in Marrakech compfortable and relaxing. For sure the place to stay in Marrakech.

We are a family of five, with three young children (aged 3, 5 and 7), staying for one week at Easter.

The Riad and staff provided the exact balance between authenticity and service, within a wonderfully renovated building. The staff were always polite and genuinely keen to assist and offer advice when requested. They were able to ensure that we had everything that we needed, without fussing or crowding us. We were very impressed by the way they welcomed the children in this quiet and secluded corner of the Medina.

We stayed in the Jade Suite which was set up as a double in one room, and the three children in a separate room, with a door between. This suited us very well and we felt very safe. The decoration and detailing in the rooms is truly impressive. The roof terrace provided a lovely place to relax during the day and evening.

All in all, a wonderfully calm, and personal place to stay, in a hot and busy yet wonderful city.

Thank you.

There is no word to describe how beautiful the riad is. From the extraordinary details on Moroccan architecture into the warm and lovely staff in the Riad. We were also very lucky to have the chance to meet the Owner, Dominique. Mr. Dominique has kindly upgraded us to occupy the jade suite which was one of the beautiful room i have ever seen in my life. No need to describe further, let the picture tell you how amazing this riad is.

cheers,

We could not fault the service; all the staff from the manager Zak to the cleaner Ameena made sure that we felt at home. Jemina is an excellent cook, happy to give demonstrations; her food was so delicious and the dining room so welcoming that we ate in on most evenings. Don''t be put off by the location; at first it is a bit daunting but the riad organised a very efficient collection service and it is ideally located within the medina. The restoration has been immaculately carried out (probably more highly decorated than the original!). Some the rooms are quite small but we enjoyed the cosiness. Drinking mint tea on the roof terrace and watching the sun go down over the medina was a great bonus. We would very happily return.

Room Tip: In winter the daylight and ventilation are better on the upper floor; the corner suite would be grea...

Initially when the pushcart person was guiding the way to reach the Riad from Bab Ksour with all our belongings, we got concerned about our safety as he took such a tortuous path that we did not have minimum confidence to get the way out on our own in next few days. But when we reached the gorgeous Riad with the warm welcome by the manager Zak and staff Zakaria, we forgot all our worries. We were offered Welcome Drinks and the staffs started giving personal attention to make us feel comfortable. The very next morning we had to catch a tour bus starting in front of Club Med; we told Zak about our concern of getting lost in finding the way due to the Riad's location inside a bylane. Zak immediately asked Zakaria to take us to the location and be there till we get the tour bus. Another day we reached post midnight at Bab Ksour and got little worried to reach Riad with valuables. We called up the Riad and the staff Yousuf agreed to come to pick us. These are the few incidents that showed how much personal attention was given to us during our stay.
The room was clean, the beds were nice and bathroom was well equipped with modern amenities with adequate towels. There was a hair dryer but it did not work, however Zak got another one from his home. The Riad including the rooms were bedecked with typical Moroccan decor. The room smelled a bit of damp but again, we did not come to Marrakech to stay inside the room all the time, so quite manageable.
Now coming to the food. This is the second best part (after the service) of our stay. Food was home made and authentic Moroccan prepared by a kind hearted Moroccan lady called Yamna in the Riad's clean kitchen. The food was so tasty we did not try our meal anywhere outside. The dinner was always three course with sufficient salad, bread, couscous and rice. The breakfast was splendid covering continental spread with a hint of Moroccan style like pancake and paratha.
And last but not the least - the cleanliness offered by the staff Amina, it was simply impeccable.

You can buy the service but you can never buy the love, affection and personal touch offered by the staffs (Zak, Zakaria, Yousuf, Yamna and Amina). We could not get to meet the owner Dominique, as he was away due to Christmas holidays. During the initial days he had been extremely patient and prompt to answer all our queries through email. I am sure he is an excellent boss who inspires all his staff members to treat the customers in such a way they never miss home during the stay in the Riad. Thanks to all of them.
Regards,
Iona, Ilika and Partha
