Difficult to find at first but that was our own fault because the staff did offer to met us outside the Medina, however our plane was delayed so we decided to have a go!

On arrival all was perfect. We were treated with every care and consideration throughout our stay. Rooms comfortable and interesting. Breakfast delicious and plentiful. Free drinks
(not alcohol) through out the day. Helpful information and impartial advice about trips/outings.

Staff kind, attentive and gentle. They became our Marrakech friends. Anyone who chooses to stay elsewhere is losing out in a big way.

Beautifully decorated, very clean, very friendly, attentive and helpful staff, good location - though hard to find the first time! - a haven of tranquility. Huge and tasty breakfast and mint tea, hot chocolate etc available all day and included in price. Fifteen mins walk to main square. Would definitely return here.

Well, this is not my first stay in this splendid boutique hotel in the medina of Marrakech and it is definitely not my last...
It was not easy for me to find it at the first time, but with a little help from a local I realized it was not far from where I was.
"WOW..." was my first reaction when I entered this unique riad. The place is simply amazing! you feel the special attention given to little details. All rooms are lovingly designed with elegance and good taste. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom is equipped with shining brass accessories. I personally just love the 'Poivre' room with its exotic ambience and design.
the place is blessed with the magnificent orange tree in the middle of the compound, where it is great to have breakfast by it or sit at night and look at the sky with the smell of citrus in the air.
The place is very clean and cozy. It is good value or money.
The crew is great, helpful and friendly. Every time I came back from my trips around the city I felt welcome... this is definitely my home in Marrakech..!

Picking a hotel out of one of the guide books is sometimes a negative experience, but in this case it provided an excellent result. When we arrived we were met by a very friendly receptionist. He kindly offer us a delicious cup of mint tea while our room was being readied. Our room was clean and cosy, facing to the quiet courtyard where breakfast is served.
The location is great: right in the heart of Medina and within 10 minute walk to the main square. We would stay here again and recommend it highly.

There really is no better place to slow down after a daytrip in hectic Marrakech-Medina ! Perfect location : once you close the entrance door you enter an extremely relaxing and quiet place, although it's situated at the noth side of the central Souks, and a 15min walk takes you through the Souks to the main square Jemaa el Fna.
This Riad (two buildings in the same small street) has 2 marvellous patio's, one with orange tree and another with banana trees. On top of the buildings you can enjoy the sun on roof terraces, one with brilliant and beautifill berber tent : good protection against the burning sun, super to do a napkin in the afternoon.
Rooms are very tastefully decorated, beautifull moroccan style. Nice bathroom with rain shower !
Breakfast is served in the patio under the orange tree : bread, cake, pancakes,... fresh orange juice, coffee, tea,...,... excellent !
One can also have dinner at the Riad : very good and tastefull, unbelievabla romantic candlelight dinner !
Price/Quality is top. Free drinks all day long, unbelievable... !
And finally, but so important : thanks to the staff and assistants !!!! They really made me feel at home, are so kind and helpfull... just feels like I made new friends !
Conclusion : can't wait to come back :-)

We had a great stay in Dar Soukaina and were so pleased with the calm and very kind staff who were so hospitable and friendly that it was always a welcoming change from the more aggressive hustle and bustle of the souks. I would absolutely reccommend anyone staying here - each room is unique and so we stayed in two rooms. The courtyard has a beautiful orange tree and you sit under it eating breakfast in the mornings. Very romantic and charming for the budget.
NOTE - you can't get anything to drink in Marrakech without embarking on some sort of mission so worth taking some wine with you (we didn't - error) to enjoy in the evening. The riyad staff offered to keep it in the fridge if we got any.
