A nice easy walk to the medina from this charming small hotel. Numerous restaurants nearby within a few blocks and wide sidewalks for those who have to have their daily jog. Great breakfasts. Did not eat dinner at their restaurant but some people at breakfast from the UK said it was quite good. Abdel and friendly staff aim to please.

Room Tip: The quiet rooms would be those not on the main busy street side.

A delightful hotel in a perfect location just across from the Royal Mansour and easy walking distance to the medina. The staff are a delight, friendly and helpful and our room overlooking the pool was a haven, the perfect place for breakfast, listening to the rich throaty song of the resident bulbul. We had some bad news while there and Abdel was consideration itself and very supportive. The wifi was good everywhere, the pool temperature just right in March, the restaurant wonderful.

We choose this hotel after reading previous reviews and weren't disappointed. It's in a great location, a short walk to the Medina and all of the signs and sounds of Marrakech. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, without being in your face. Although we don't speak Arabic and have limited French there was no problem in being understood. We had intended eating out in the evenings but ended up eating in the hotel restaurant instead as the food and service were so good. We'd definitely recommend this hotel.

I didn't stay at this hotel however was recommended to eat here by the concierge of my hotel.

Very dissapointing and over priced. I wouldn't bother making a trip to especially eat here. The choices are limited and the food is quite tasteless.

I would recommend a cafe nearby instead.

Abdel and his friendly staff make this hotel a real gem outside of the pressures and chaotic fun inside the Medina. It is a nice and safe walk to the Medina from The Red House and as others have said, there is a nice grocery/liquor/wine store a mere 10 minute walk away. (Carrefour). There is also a pharmacy just a couple of blocks away. There are numerous good restaurants nearby as well within walking distance. Abdel arranged a driver to take us to the beach for the day in Essaouira and that was a very nice change of pace. I would highly recommend Le Comptoir for a great meal and beautiful ambiance. The hotel itself is quite charming and relaxing in setting. If you want total perfection you may prefer to choose a chain hotel but if you want a more real Moroccan experience we highly recommend The Red House. We spent 5 nights here before venturing off to other corners of Morocco for a week but decided to spend our last night at The Red House because of the professionalism and friendliness of this fine staff. Many thanks to Abdel and staff for such a fine job!

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a terrace. We stayed in 302.

Just back from spending four nights at this hotel. We booked it on the strength of other reviews and were not disappointed. The hotel is full of character with typical Moroccan features such as indoor fountains and high tiled ceilings. The rooms we had were lovely and spacious with 2 bathrooms and a separate lounge. We enjoyed our breakfasts in the beautifully kept gardens with shrubs and trees full of birdsong. The pool was heated and even in February we were glad of an afternoon swim. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful; we were picked up and dropped off at the airport and the recommended trips were memorable. We hired a guide for a morning to take us around the medina which was a short walk from the hotel and he took us to various sites and then to the souks. When we explained that we were not buying anything the sellers didn't hassle us at all. We ate in the restaurant for the first night and it was a great introduction to Moroccan cuisine. The trip into the Atlas mountains was magnificent but we were glad to have a guide to take us to the waterfalls as the path was steep and rocky. Our plane didn't leave until the evening and we were given a room for the day which was even more sumptuous than our own. A very enjoyable first trip to Morocco.
