Entering the Riyad Al Moussika is magical. The serenity and warm welcome is only the beginning of what will be a fabulous experience. The Riyad is located in old city and could not of been more centrally located. The management of the hotel is superior and the servicing is beyond compare. Every recommendation was spot on. Every day returning to the Riyad for lunch or afternoon tea was always a treat. The food was incredible!

As an experienced traveler- I can assure you that you will no tbe disappointed with your time at the Riyad. For me- the Riyad was key for many fond memories and I look forward to returning.

The Riad was conveniently located near the center of the old city and the accomodations were peaceful and pristine. I can't say enough great things about the staff - they were more than accomodating and made you feel immediately at home as soon as you arrived. My friend and I will always remember our stay due to the warmth and graciousness of the staff - it made our experience in Marrakech unforgettable. And I must also rave about the meals - you won't be disappointed. It was some of the best meals we enjoyed throughout our trip which included traveling to Portugal and Spain.

From start to finish a wonderful experience. We were picked up at the airport and arrived at the riyad to a very warm welcome that included mint tea and pastries. We were treated as if the riyad were our home. It was not a hotel experience--I'd say more like the ultimate B & B. We were in the heart of the medina and within walking distance of most of the major attractions. Our hosts made sure that we were comfortable getting around, made taxi and restaurant reservations for us and treated us like royalty. The riyad is stunning and felt very old world, but with all of the modern conveniences one would need, down to Wifi. I hope to go back. Don't miss out on the hammam while there. The food was plentiful, delicious and beautiful. The Beeson's of California

Had a wonderful short break. Very relaxing and fabulous food. Staff were friendly and helpful especially when the Icelandic volcano erupted and they went out of thier way to drive us to the airport and help us book alternative travel plans home.
The Riad is cool, tranquil and beautiful and a complete haven from the medina.
Would love to return in the future.
Staff organised a driver to take us to the Atlas mountains where we spent a wonderful day with some stunning scenery. Well worth the journey! Also organised for someone to come into the riad's haman and had a fabulous gommage and massage - my favourite day of the trip!!!

What a great place! We were met by the one of the managers with mint tea and pastries and a brief overview and show round of the Riad.
There are only a few rooms with balconies or loggias overlooking one of the courtyards with bubbling fountains or the great swimming pool. And with so few rooms you get such great personal service.
You are only 10 minutes walk one direction to Jemaa el Fna (the main square and the souks) or 5 minutes the other direction from the Bahia palace or the Badii palace ruins.
These narrow streets are frenetic, noisy, and dusty and temperatures were hitting 40°C, but we stepped back into the Riad for peace, tranquillity, calmness and a cooling dip in the fantastic pool.
One of the better breakfasts I’ve had during my travels, fresh home made breads pastries and pancakes, home made yoghurt, honey, jams and marmalade (they have their own farm!) fresh orange juice and eggs anyway you want them, and a great cup of coffee or mint tea all served in a cool courtyard with great service. Make sure you plan your day so you can get back there for the three course “set” lunch with some incredible dishes. On our last night we didn’t feel like going out to eat, and even this was no problem as they kindly cancelled our reservations and cooked a fabulous dinner for us in the Riad
Alal and Hassam who manage the place always seemed to be discreetly available and arranged taxis for us to go out to dinners and were a mine of historical information about Morocco in general and Marrakech in particular.
Riad al Moussika is a jewel of a place to stay in the fantastic city of Marrakech!

I stayed at the riyad for four days.Superb service by the staff. was the highlight of my stay in Marrakesh. Ever obliging and courteous.Seldom have I come across such service in my extensive stays in hotels across the world. The riyad is of moderate size and located within walking distance to the Jemaa El fna. Great experience walking through the souks to reach the Jemaa.Takes between 5 to 10 minutes. The hotel is tucked in a cul de sac. The rooms are furnished in a very Moroccon style but with modern amneties. The library is well stocked with books on Morocco. Enjoyed my evenings reading books on Morocco, to better understand local culture. The food was superb. Requested for pastilla and this was duly served the same evening. Arranged for day trips to Imlil and Ait El Bendahou via the hotel. These trips were reasonably priced with knowledgable guides who spoke good English. The riyed was originally built by the pasha of Marrakesh ( sort of a ruler who was the the chief of the Marrakesh area ) during French colonisation. So there is a lot of history in the riyad.

Riyad Al Moussika was perfect. My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The ambience and atmosphere was beautiful. The rooms were spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The staff were very helpful, many thanks to Hassam and Allal for making it a special stay. The chef was great, the morning breakfasts were a good spread of fresh fruit, pastries and omlettes. The birthday cake and canapes were amazing. The riyad was about 5 minutes from the main square. so good location and was very peaceful away from the hustle and bustle.
The hammam experience at the riyad is definitely a must. Really recommend this place.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Riad Al Moussika - For comfort, style and refinement. THE Riad experience in Marrakech! Situated in the ancient medina of Marrakech, five minutes walk from place Jemaa El Fna, the Riyad was once one of the residences of the former Pasha of Marrakech, Thami El Glaoui, and has been refurbished to a very high standard in the Andalucian style. One of the gates of Riyad Al Moussika opens on to a garden with old cypress trees soaring to the sky, a huge bougainvillea climbing across the pergolas, a swimming pool, in the centre or, more precisely, an Andalucian basin thirteen meters long, tiled with a mosaic carpet design. Here water falls from a white Carrara marble fountain to the songs of numerous small birds creating an idyllic scenario, in spite of being in the heart of central medina. A fireplace gives the winter evenings a cosy atmosphere, as do the impressive modern paintings, carpets, sofas and armchairs. There is a hi-fi system and an art deco Pleyel grand piano perfectly tuned for the pleasure of the guests. The Turkish bath or hammam in white marble with a relax room where, on request, a professional masseur can take care of the guests. There is a unique view of the medina and the Atlas Mountains from the two terraces that are sheltered partially with wooden pergolas and surrounded by large terracotta flower vases. Tables, comfortable armchairs with cushions and teak chaises-long allow guests to request breakfast and candle lit dinner, as well as to sunbathe during the day. On one of the terraces there is a pavilion with Moroccan sofas, cushions and lamps should some of the guests prefer a more intimate space. The resident Chef, Grand Diploma Cordon Bleu, has devoted his life to gastronomy and invites lovers of fine dining to experience his repertoire of Moroccan, Italian and French cuisine at the haute Cuisine riyad's Restaurant PEPE NERO. There are 4 double bedrooms, all with en-suite bathroom. All rooms have air-conditioning / heating system, telephone with external line, television with the major satellite channels (BBC, CNN etc.), Internet wireless connection is available and DVD in the music room. ... more   less
