“Let down by catering”
Reviewed 22 March 2014

This was a pleasant enough hotel but was let down by the catering. We thought we'd take advantage of the rooftop restaurant for a quick lunch. We were part of a party of about a dozen who arrived in couples spread over half an hour or so. But the waiters and kitchen were overwhelmed, muddling our orders and taking well over an hour from when they were ordered to deliver some of the the simple dishes (burgers etc.).This delayed our afternoon plans, spoiling our experience of Marrakech. Breakfast was no better. Although ostensibly available from 0630, nothing was ready then and it took over half an hour for the very basic offering to become fully available - the orange juice arrived after 7.00, for example. Again, our timing plan was disrupted. They also managed to leave just one towel for the two of us to share in our room. The rooms were clean and the staff friendly but it's not a place we'll remember fondly. Maybe stay there, but don't eat there.

Dear Guest,

First of all, we would like to thank you for sharing your comments on Tripadvisor. We only wish it was a better experience, so we would like to extend our sincere apologies for the issues you encountered at the rooftop restaurant.
Indeed, it is unusual to hear of such concerns and rest assured that we are taking your comments very seriously as we strive to make sure that each of our guests enjoy comfortably their stay with us.
We hope that you will allow us another chance in the future especially as we are opening a new Literary Café, while improving our quality of service in all departments.
Please, feel free to contact me next time you visit us, as I wish to meet you and make sure your experience is what you expect of AMANI HÔTEL APPART Marrakech.

The hotel is very well located, clean and organized, the rooms are nice and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and cheerful. It also has the best orange juice and the roof top is perfect for dining! The meals are good and the price is right. The hotel also has a spa which is wonderful! When I will return to Marrakech, for sure I will stay in Amani again.

We stayed on night in the hotel. It was very clean and had pretty rooms with nice furniture. The staff is friendly and the location is also very good. Close to the bus station and only about a 20 min walk to the historical Marakech. They even sent me my camera which i forgot in the hotel!
Perfect!
Only the airport shuttle is too expensive. Just catch a cab outside the hotel!

All the benefits of a hotel (excellent service, friendly and cordial staff) with the freedom of an apartment (kitchen, living room)
The rooftop restaurant is worth a visit with its splendid view of the Atlas Mountains.
Great service and very commodious rooms with very attractive prices as well as offers for spa and steam rooms.

Room Tip: All the rooms are quiet, but the view is greater on the street side.

Hotel is located in a good location close to the train station and coach station which are within walking distance. Also there are some nice restaurants close by which was a bonus. Hotel does have a restaurant on the roof which serves some nice food and hot drinks but we had the option of trying out some of the other restaurants close by. Hotel has a spa and a heated pool which is convenient, saves going out to find somewhere reputable.

You can get a bus to and from the main square which is convenient but we chose to walk most the time as it doesn't take long. On the odd occasion we did get a small taxi which can be agreed at a cost between 10-15 Dirhams day rate and 15-30 Dirhams night rate.

Hotel staff are very friendly and welcoming, rooms were very clean and spacious. The room has a small fridge and a safe. Of all the places I have been and stayed at, it was really nice to be in a room which had AC that actually worked.

This was my 3rd time in Marrakech and dare I say it will be my last. Previously stayed at a franchise hotel (not mentioning any names) but I will say this hotel was a lot better. Would use this hotel again and would recommend to others.

I had emailed before to request two double beds and had not received an email to confirm that this wasn't possible so we had an eventful 30 minutes trying to work out sleeping arrangements as as a group of 4 adults we didn't fancy single beds, but the assistant manager Ourtram went out of his way to accomodate us. After which he suggested a fantasic restaurant to eat
Al Fassia. We went there twice and the second time the hotel offered us free transportation there and back - after another misunderstanding! (Congratulations to the driver Abdullah for dealing with 4 singing women)
We managed to find our way around as it is really close to the train station. No-one seemed to know where the hotel was so I'd suggest you ask for directions to the Ibis Hivenage or the Opera Hotel as it's hidden in between the two. The Airport bus will at least know where these two are and you won't get dropped off at the wrong hotel as we were!
The breakfast wasn't great but it arrived promptly to our room when requested.
The room could do with a bigger fridge. All in all everything we asked for was provided, but we had to ask. But it was good value and we enjoyed lovely evenings on our balcony watching the people go by

Room Tip: We had a free upgrade to a senior Suite due to the mix up with the beds

I spent two nights in the hotel two weeks ago and can highly recommend it. The visit to Marrakech was fascinating and the hotel was a good base to visit it from. It is a modern and comfortable hotel with good sized rooms, very clean, with good bathroom and it also has a lot of Moorish features in the design which add greatly to its charm.

The staff are friendly and helpful and ready with any advice when asked.

Breakfast on the roof terrace is a great start to the day with fresh orange juice, tea or coffee, moroccan pancakes, rolls and pastries served with jam and butter.

The hotel is in a relatively quiet location quite near the railway station. It is about 30 minutes walk to the famous main square, mosque, medina etc which is a bit of a disadvantage but all in all a great place to be.
