“Excellent hotel would definitely recommend this hotel”

We booked this hotel last minute (we booked an hour before we arrived at the hotel) and the hotel reception were very accommodating. The rooms are very nice and there is a roof top bar which is a real sun trap! There are two restaurants where we are planning on eating at but hear it is very good food. The swimming pool is located at the ground level and is quite sheltered by midday.

We liked the location of this hotel as it was away from the hectic medina and as two girls we felt safe walking around. You can walk to the medina in about 25 minutes or taxi cost us 40 dirhams about £3.50 (they will probably quote you 80-100 so make sure you haggle). Taxi from the airport was 100 for two people, they originally tried to charge us 150 each and say its a set price

The manager is very helpful and made a point of introducing himself and recommended places to go and where to get taxi from etc.

Just spent 4 nights at Le Caspien, and found the staff very helpful and efficient.
Our room was clean, but a bit dated. Would have liked a hair dryer in the bathroom.
Breakfast provided was good, if basic, but we did have an unlimited amount of fresh squeezed orange juice, excellent baguettes and excellent coffee.
The hotel's restaurant, Chez Joel, was very good (recommend the baked goat cheese) and excellent value for the money.
I would not hesitate to stay at Le Caspien on a future trip to Marrakesh.

Hotel le Caspien is the perfect choice for a stay in Morocco! The staff is so kind, helpful and accommodating. I felt as though my stay in Marrakech was truly important to them. We barely had any plans going in to the trip and the staff helped arrange for activities to fill our entire stay. The restaurant had delicious food and drink with very reasonably prices. The ambiance of both the hotel itself and the restaurant were lovely. Very calm and classy with an extremely Moroccan feel. The room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. The hotel also has the option of a driver which enhanced the experience immensely. Not only did I feel safe with him but was never worried or stressed about getting places. I highly recommend staying at Hotel le Caspien if you want to meet friendly people and have a perfect stay in Marrakech.

Me and my mum just got back from Marrakech last night after staying in Hotel Le Caspien for eight nights. The hotel was lovely and so were the staff. The manager, receptionists and house keeping staff were ace. Food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious! Especially the salad with roasted walnuts mmm! Its about a 30 minute walk to the main square, souks, koutoubia mosque, saadian tombs and el Baadi palace. Its a ten minute walk to the Majorelle Gardens. Lots of lovely restaurants nearby too, and if you are a fish lover PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check out Al Bahriya restaurant which is a five minute walk from the hotel. Its always busy because the fish is fresh and delicious. I could go on but overall we had a lovely time at the hotel. The hotel minibus driver Abdell Atif was an absolute star! We will definitely be back soon!

Stayed 5 nights at le Caspien.A bit far from town centre - make sure you don't miss the last bus from town at 11.00pm or it's a long walk ! There are several quite good restaurants close by.

Hotel staff were very helpful after I had my passport and iPhone stolen in main square.

Room was very comfortable and the beers were verry cold.

Room Tip: All rooms appeared to be o/k,even those facing onto the street.

First impressions on arrival were somewhat underwhelming, someone just staring at us, silent lobby, and a demand for a payment immediately for staying in Morocco which we weren't aware of. The room was lovely though, clean and basic, but traditional and cosey. There is no fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer. The bed is very comfy though! We also had room service one evening for which there was no charge. The dinner here was brilliant, we were half board and had a lovely 3 course meal each night - salads, tagines and lovely desserts, all well presented. Service was excellent and there was a man playing keyboard and guitar which was a nice touch. Breakfast however was very disappointing; lukewarm tea and eggs, stale bread, freezing cold pancakes, kids yoghurts. We just had pastries for breakfast which I suppose were adequate. The area was also undesirable, did not feel safe at night, to be honest sometimes in the day it didn't feel too safe, some strange people about - followed by a homeless man who wouldn't leave us alone until we gave him money. It was also a very long walk to the square. It is NOT 10 or 20 minutes walk. If you want to go from the hotel to the square/souks it's at least 30 minutes (we are two young adults and we timed our walk one day because it just felt like forever, especially in the heat) the last two days we got taxis do to the old medina. We still enjoyed our stay in Marrakech and it was a fab experience, the hotel was fine for our short visit, but there are a few points that need work and this could be a great hotel.

The restaurant was absolutely divine and the food was top class. The ambience was great and romantic. I felt like I was in paradise. We spent alot of time inside the hotel than outside. The location isn't great; the street is a bit dodgy. However, stopping there was worth every single penny. The staff were so lovely and the manager was brilliant.
