First time in marrakech and this riad had it all.Picked up from airport and taken to the frount door,The staff are all so helpful,it is 2 riads in 1 and is very cosey, the food was tasty, and the roof terrace and the morrocan tent , great to have a drink after a long day at the souk.

Driving into Rue Kasbah at 1900 was manic......typical Marrakech! Riad Jonan is a haven of what peace there is locally. Great first impression, with cool atmosphere and helpful staff. The rooms are small (normal) and our first had no external window and was very dark. This was similar to other rooms we saw and felt a little claustrophobic. The aircon was v.good and quiet. Friends upgraded to a larger room for extra £90/week, and this was much better. We took their first room which had a small external window and this provided a constant through draft. Food is good value, staff and management first class, talking French/English. They arranged the best tours of the week. Pleasant roof terrace. Walk of 500m to the square, a couple of nice restaurants and cafes within 200m. Well worth a visit.

Room Tip: Tombeaux Saddian is close and underwhelming.

First time to Marrakesh and found the whole experience fantastic. The staff and owners of the Riad couldn't have done more for us, they were friendly, helpful and catered to all our needs. The food is wonderful and the lite bites were enough to keep us going. We went to the Atlas mountains and this is something not to be missed. Not too sure about the Chez Ali Fantasia though. The riad is in the Kasbah is very busy but the atmosphere is buzzing. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to the El-Fina square and this again is an experience. just remember to take lots of loose change as the people expect to be paid a nominal amount to be photographed. Cannot wait to return and definately will be going back to the Riad Jonan

Riad Jonan was lovely, the staff and owners were friendly and after a busy day in the souks the great rooftop with sun beds was most welcome. We found the position perfect as it was about 15-20 minutes walk to the main square, close but away from the main area. I stayed in the lovely Jadida room, which is ground floor next to a nice courtyard with a small plunge pool. The breakfasts were great, nice pastries and omelettes!! Perfect riad, thank you!

We arrived in the evening after being collected from airport by a nice chatty driver.
First impressions are a bit daunting , the Kasbah area is a bit manic in the evening but the next day when we ventured out it was fine . The staff gave us mint tea, biscuits, and showed us to our room after a brief introduction and map.
Breakfast was superb, a choice of eggs, yoghurt with marinated prunes, cereals etc and a selection of pastries. The owners and manager were on hand to give advice, information etc after breakfast. We did the Atlas mountain day trip organised through the Riad which was well recommended . We had lunch at Richard Bransons mountain retreat , a perfect day .
This is not a luxury hotel but the big plus is the friendly, informal atmosphere which is generated by the owners and the exceptional staff.
The free wi fi in public patio was also very welcome. Thank you for a wonderful 5 days .

Room Tip: Book the airport collection and day trip to Atlas.
