We stayed at Dar Silsila recently on our first visit to Marrakech and it was a wonderful home from which to explore the city. The location is ideal - just a few minutes walk from Place Jemaa el Fna and the souks, near some excellent restaurants, and yet perfectly quiet inside. The Riad is beautifully decorated and the rooms are comfortable with good beds, quality bedding and towels, and everything is perfectly clean. There are lots of clothes hangers (so unusual in a hotel) and plenty of storage space so you can unpack easily and feel at home. The roof terrace is lovely with comfortable seating and views in every direction.
We had a lovely dinner the evening we arrived (beef tangia, a Marrakech specialty) and enjoyed breakfasts with fresh orange juice and house made yogurt.
Best of all, Jean Patrick is a wonderful host, friendly and welcoming, and so helpful with information and suggestions, reservations and travel arrangements.
Thanks to Jean-Patrick and all at Dar Silsila for making our visit to Marrakech so enjoyable!

Stayed for 3 nights in this lovely raid , Jean-Patrick and his staff looked after us brilliantly, nothing is a problem to them, this raid is in a great position for sightseeing and shopping. We were greeted with mint tea and pastries on our arrival and then a lovely pre booked evening meal, breakfasts were also nice. After sightseeing we would catch the late afternoon sun on the rooftop terrace with a bottle of Jean-Patricks wine, brilliant, will certainly return.

Thanks again Jean-Patrick

Best Wishes

This hotel is fantastic. We were greeted with mint tea and cookies and our bags were carried up to our room for us. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated, including fresh roses. Jean Patrick was very helpful and even drove us to the train station! Breakfast was delicious as well. Nice oasis in the middle of the Median. Great value as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dar Silsila. Everything has already been written about the friendliness of Jean-Patrick and the staff, cleanliness of the Rias & the rooms and the fact that the Riad is very well located. Everything is within easy walking distance.

We really felt welcomed and "at home".

We had a standard room which was already perfect. In the afternoons we also spent a lot of time on the terrasses to read and relax after the buzz of the city.

Thank you Jean-Patrick & staff and we are looking forward to coming back :-)

We loved our stay here! A wonderful escape from the busy Medina. The extra comforts were not overlooked - amazing oils and soaps, gorgeous beds, fresh yogurt, great wine (and mint tea!) and the best tagine of the trip! Thank you Jean-Patrick and your lovely, gracious staff!
