Cafe Kremm is the public space attached to a new maison d'hote in this most up-market quartier of the Marrakech medina. Surrounded by gallery and antique shops just on the edge of the entrance to the souks and a 10 minute walk to the square. The entry vestibule on the street is a small cafe space where you can enjoy coffee and cake but through into the courtyard or up onto one of the terraces is where you would have lunch. We opted for a terrace where there was shade and the waiter turned on the mister system so we were cool on a very hot afternoon. The main reason for choosing the terrace was you can only order alcohol upstairs and we fancied a glass (or 2) of gris with lunch.

The food was freshly prepared and light and tasty. We chose to have the Italian set lunch at 95 Dhs per person and all enjoyed our selections. The wine was ice cold and though expensive, no more so than in any similar restaurant.

The only complaint is that the service was extremely slow. As we weren't in a hurry it didn't matter but you might get upset if your time was limited. Maybe it was because we were on the very top terrace and the kitchen is on the ground floor? Having said that the waiting staff were charming and friendly and I'd definately give it another chance one day.

I've only marked down the atmosphere and service as average because it was a quiet day and we were the only people on the roof and service was slow.

I tried to book by phone a room for couples, while trying to get information about available rooms and price, they refused to provide information with pretext of room unavailability, though they said that they have at the beginning of the call.

My family and I stayed here in February and I cannot recommend this riad highly enough. The decor is stunning, the staff is helpful, and the location is great - they really are just 15 minutes from the central part of the medina. The decor is traditional yet tasteful - every element was chosen with an eye for design by the owner. The breakfast offers more than most independent hotels, and despite being really in the medina, the rooms were truly quiet at night (and the beds are comfortable too). All of the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly - happy to arrange whatever you need. We travel extensively - this is our fourth trip to Marrakech - and I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Superb location, within the Medina. A beautifully restored riad. Individual rooms, gorgeous terrace for eating and relaxing. The standard of cleanliness and attentiveness of the staff could not be bettered. Delicious dinner menu, can even learn to cook your own, we did, great fun. Will definitely revisit

My wife and I spent the first 3 nights of our honeymoon here, and it was an absolutely perfect start to our 10 days in Morocco. We arrived quite late, and were met with complementary tea and sweet biscuits, and when we asked for the possibility of a bite to eat, they rustled up a 3 course meal with wine for us. The service of all the staff was absolutely brilliant, and nothing was too much trouble, and was always delivered with a smile. The food in the Riad was also worth staying in for. The rooms were spacious and clean, and had good WI-FI, and the decor was traditional yet subtle. The location was central, with all the landmarks a short walk away, yet the Riad maintained a quiet air of tranquility. We would definitely recommend this Riad

We stayed four nights here. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Breakfast on the roof top terrace is very special. Rooms are very nicely decorated and room 8 we had our own small terrace area. Advice on where to eat was fantastic. Easy walking distance of everything -souks and the main square. This place has only been open for about 2 months. It really was memorable stay in Marracek . Highly recommend !

We stayed two nights in the the berber suite at Palais Khum, a very charming place with wonderful design, the owner has an amazing collection of different art pieces ! The riads location is near the souks and the famous Jemaa El Fna square, we can just walk to them. Anything that we needed was not too much trouble for Reda, a very nice young man who served dinner for us, advice us and tell us a lot about the moroccan culture and customs. If you want to stay in a lovely guest house in Marrakesh, Palais Khum is the place to be !
