We had the privilege of taking two rooms for three nights on a family vacation. The entire staff, particularly Abderrazak, bent over backwards to be sure our every desire was met. Incredibly gracious and helpful. The perfect hosts.

Just back from a long weekend in 'Mad Marrakech' where we stayed at the Riad Dar Anika. We had no idea what to expect but were thrilled from the moment we walked in off the bustling, noisy streets into the oasis of cool, calm, loveliness that is Dar Anika. Location is brilliant - a 5 minute walk and you're at the main square. Lovely rooms, a plunge pool (absolutely essential with temperatures of 42 degrees) and great advice from Samir about where to go and what to do with only a short space of time, happily making reservations for us at some of the most gorgeous restaurants. At no extra cost a member of staff even escorted me to the local market so I could buy some fish to feed to Molly (the cat that appears frequently on the roof - I think she's a permenant feature) - they must have thought I was absolutely bonkers but didn't say a word (and the man at the market was so lovely that he gave me the fish for free)! Definitely recommend this Riad - and don't forget the treats for Molly!!!

Room Tip: The nicest room is the one with the domed ceiling (visible from the roof garden!)

Looked at a number of options for a quick first-time business trip.
I was met at the airport, had every facility I needed, including PC connection, good food, did the bizz, and back to the airport.
Just wished I could've stayed longer!

My sister and I spent 4 nights at the Dar Anika in Jan 2011.

The Riad is situated on a small road leading directly to the Djemaa el-Fna (a 10 minute stroll). Despite its very central location, the Riad is very tranquil.

The Riad is beautifully decorated and has some gorgeous pieces of Moroccan furniture. Beds are comfortable and the whole place is immaculate.

During our stay the friendly staff, Majdouline and Samir, recommended some great places for us to visit, including Theatro (club), Palais Jad Mahal (restaurant with entertainment) and Comptoir (restaurant with great bar). They also arranged guided tours of the local area, and an excursion to the Atlas Mountains, which I would recommend, although if you plan on doing the trek to the waterfalls, good walking boots and a head for heights are essential.

On our first night we had a wonderful dinner in the lounge in front of an open fire, which was delicious. We had our breakfasts on the roof terrace, which consisted of fresh breads/preserves, yoghurt, fruit salad, fresh cakes/pancakes (differed each day) and fresh OJ / tea/coffee, which really set us up for the day. There is no set time for breakfast - you can go whenever you like, which was a lovely touch.

I would recommend the Riad and cant wait to go back!

We stayed stayed here a couple of days after my wife met Majoline (one of the owners) at a yoga class.
Dar Anika is a beautiful riad, situated a few hundred metres from Jemaa el Fna. Near the hotel are some great international restaurants, a market (lamps) and an ATM.
We felt right at home here. They were very helpful by letting us use their phone to book an excursion and some other things. We could have breakfast at a time that suited us. And we left we even received a free taxi drive back to the airport!
Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, modern with a lot of local influences.
Thanks again for your hospitality!
We plan to return in April and we will definitely contact you again.
