“Do this with a guide”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

You'll love it if you do this with a guide who will explain what all the rooms were for. That brought it to life for us. Amazing ceilings. Loved that the favourite wife had the best room

“beautiful moroccan architecture”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

Palace is very nice. Beautiful architecture. Labyrinth of rooms around central courtyards. Great for exploration. It`s not very easy to find entrance. Be aware of people in the close vicinity telling you that the palace is closed at the moment for an hour or two, and trying to lure you to shops in jewish quarter while the palace is supposedly closed. We run into couple of these people. And of course they were all lying, palace was open all day without a brake. So take good map from your hotel and do not listen to people on the street. It`s just 15 minutes walk from Jemaa el Fnaa square. Take Rue Riad Zitoun El Kedim. At the end of the street is a little square. Take left before it and follow the street for about 150 meters. Then you`ll find the gate to this beautiful place.

“Worth a trip ”
Reviewed 6 July 2014 via mobile

At just 10 dirham we popped in for a wander about 40 mins before close. It is an interesting story and the storks are a bizarre addition to this ruin. There was also a fabulous photo exhibition by an English war photographer on at the time we went. Would love to see this place during the film festival.

“Stunning”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

We found this Palace, more by luck than judgement. The signs for the attractions are not good. The entrance is just a door in a wall and is only 10 dirhams to get in (about 80p), but it is stunning. The Palace is arranged around a central courtyard, and there are rooms with elaborately decorated wooden ceilings, beatiful stone carvings and tilework. It is not huge, and was named after the King's favourite wife. Well worth a visit!
