First off, to those few who have complained about this Riad, remember you are staying in Marrakech for a more than adequate price, and at a PRIME LOCATION. Taxi drop off is just a 2 minute walk from the riad, they can send someone to meet you if required.

The host, Gian-Paolo, is a charming man, very welcoming and was always inquiring about my needs. The rest of the staff was also very professional, special thanks to Mohammed who has made my life easier during my stay!

The room I had was number 6 I believe, a suite with a private balcony on the first floor of the riad (note this was a COMPLIMENTARY upgrade from the room I had initially booked). Room size is more than adequate, remember this is a Riad, not a five star hotel!

As for the location, you cannot ask for a better one in this price-quality range. Literally a 7 minute walk from Jemaa el Fna place, close to many other attractions as well. Overall this was the best 3 nights of my 12 night Moroccan trip.

Room Tip: Room 6 i believe is the one with a private balcony, very quaint with a separate living room as well. It has two windows overlooking the alley which, in a rare occasion, could be noisy with kids playing in the adjacent alley but not during the night.

The hotel RIAD MAISO Arabo Andalouse in Marrakech was a pleasant surprise. We were hosted in the period 9-12 this month. The cozy atmosphere and the details of the Andalusian decor impressed us. The austere facade offered us a wealth of architectural details inside. Everythingauthentically Moroccan.
Inside the bustling heartof Marrakech the hotel is in a quiet locationwith an atmosphere of fantasy.
The location is good, within the Medina, enabling us to go to walk to museums, the Koutobia, the souks and the famous Jemaa El Fna.
The owner Paolo was very courteous, always availablefor guidance tourist sites. We received, according to tradition, with mint tea.
All the staff are very helpful and provided us with all the necessary support.
The breakfast is rich and elegant. We had the opportunity to have lunch specialties of the house.
The interior is very well maintained and clean.
We wouldrecommend the Maison Arabo Andalouse who want to enjoy an authentic Moroccan atmosphere and quality.
An exotic and unforgettable trip.

I feel little bit embarrassed concerning this very very kind couple arrived alone at our Riad, because they haven't receive our mail for transport assistance,so the taxi driver let them to the other side of the Kasbah, they was tired and confiused so they did't want to go out for lunch so I offer my lunch friendly relations start, appreciating our cusine for great parts of meals and listening our suggestions for the bustlig Medina, they really appreciate and relaxed, that it's my pleasure. When we arrived in the morning after almost no sleep after a long travel, Muhammed waited for us when we got dropped off by the taxy near the Riad. He welcomed us and showed us into the most peacefull little courtyard with banana palm trees, fountain and singing birds. We were served mint tea and homemade moroccan pastries made by Fatima, one of the sweet women working there. All the way through our stay we were so good taken care of by all of them. Delicious food in the morning, recommendations and day programme discussing with Paolo.

The room itself was quiet, spacious, beautiful and clean. The Riad is in a very quiet and hassle free area of the medina, and close to the big square, shopping and some big monuments. They also have a nice roof terrasse, where you can look at the ruins of Palais Badi and say hello to all of the storks there. We have travelled a lot of places, but never experienced such hospitality as here.

They can also arrange day tours, book events for you etc. We went on a trip in the Atlas Mountains and stopped by mosque Tinmal, which we can highly recommend.

Thank you so much, hope to come again some day! :)

Young couple so polite and well educate that it's more than a pleasure to get as guest, also, because a little inconvenient on one of our Suite i took the advantage to ask to young Architect and this husband ideas on Muslim decoration, for where they are passionate.
What also to say,if not that when those charming people leave it's a part of your life gone with........
Thanks for giving me the courage to continue..........................

where can i start? even before our arrival, gpaolo and mohamed were making sure out trip was nothing short of amazing, we were picked up at the airport, then as soon as we got to the riad, mohamed was there to greet us... my husband , our 7 yr old son and i.. we felt not only welcomed, but cared for... fatima, sarah are just wonderful... and mohamed went way beyond duty in order to help us with all our requests, from getting mc donalds for our son, to arranging our day trip to ourzazate and other destinations .. (highly recommend it) ... we got to enjoy sarah's expert cuisine. breakfast was served in the quaint indoor garden, and it was rich in quantity and flavors. my husband and mohamed shared each other's cultures which enriched our stay beyond our expectations. the riad's location is perfect, within walking distance to all things, i do suggest a guide , as the medina is an intimidating maze... now, the riad itself, is just gorgeous! the rooms well sized, and an example of moroccan decor.... have no doubts to book here, your only regret will be to leave this oasis ,a jewel found in the midst of the bustling city of marrakech... we will be back!! (francisco, gabriela and jose antonio!!!)

Room Tip: all rooms are great! we stayed in the 1st floor which had a balcony, with view of the interior garden/pool..

I get informed by our staff about the kindness of this couple, witch they feel at home even with some difficulty on the language,it's trough when you speak with the language of the heart all communications are simplify.
No others comment for me are available, except the fact than all what the guest prove and feel it's the true.
Special thanks, from all the staff, more than a tip they appreciate their job.

A beautiful Riad with an outstanding roof patio where you can watch the storks come home from dinner. Ask for Tajin: "made for Prince", and Mohammed will make it happen. Tell him Sandokan sent you.

Our family trip to Marrakech would just not have been the same without the beautiful staff of the Riad. Paolo, whom we never met but through email, was also a gracious host. Hands down recommend this place.

Please do tell Mohammed Sandokan says hi...
