“Genuine hospitality and an italian welcome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 October 2009

We were delighted to find this Riad in a cool quartiere close to the main square. It was delightfully laid out with a small plunge pool in the courtyard surrounded by palms. A short walk the main attractions. The highlight of our stay? The delightful and charming Paolo, the italian host who took it personally to ensure our stay was relaxed, informed and enjoyable. He made sure that we had all that we needed, with tips for places to visit, restaurants and value for money shopping locations. His staff were delightful, friendly and attentive. If you have bad knees, then maybe a Riad is not for you, as there are stairs and more and more stairs... but a trip to the terrace is worth it to hear and see the storks returning to their nests at night and hear the call to prayer whilst watching the sunset. A lovely stay in Marrakesh and made more so by our stay at our Riad. Thank you Paolo.

My adult daughter and I spent 4 wonderful days in Marrakesh in January 2009. Perhaps January is not the best month to visit given iffy weather, but this riad is like a calm warm and nurturing oasis in the midst of this lively and raucous city. Paolo and the entire staff could not have been more helpful and anticipated our needs rather than simply responding to them. One of our best meals of the entire trip to Morocco was cooked by Fatima and served in their elegant and cozy dining room. The building itself is well kept and spotlessly clean, with elegant touches in every room, 2 indoor gardens and a beautiful rooftop garden. The location is very close to many sites including the incredible Djemma el Fna, but tucked away on a quiet side street. I would definitely return!

Please take no notice of the bad review from the brussels couple as i feel that there points were not correct !!!!
My wife and i have just returned from a fantastic stay at this riad and i would like to thank everyone there for making it such a memorable stay.
We stayed in room 2 which was very romantic and very typical morrocan in its bright colours and decoration.
Staying in room 2 allowed us easy access to the beautifull terrace which gave us a nice area to rest in the afternoon after a day site seeing and shopping in the souks.
While on the terrace you can nearly reach out and touch the storks which are nesting on the near by palace ruins.
We also had the pleasure of having breakfast every morning on the terrace thanks to mohammad bring us fresh fruit, croissants, bread, crepes, fresh home made marmalade, jam, fruit juice and tea and coffee which was the perfect start to every day of our stay.
I am sure there is cheaper places to stay in marrakech but i can not imagine that your stay would recieve the kind of personal service that you recieve from the owner and his staff that makes staying at this riad a very special one.
Certainly if we should ever return to marrakech i would not even consider staying anywhere else than this riad

Many thanks again for a very memorable stay...............

Don and Caroline, London
