“Nice choice for Marrakesh.”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

This is a lovely spot, in the center of the medina and within easy walking distance of the main square and shopping in the souks. Once we got our bearings, we were quite comfortable on foot. This riad has several wonderful, internal courtyards, including one with a small pool. Our room was “compact” but very pleasant – with short door to bathroom. Just watch your head. (Room name was “Mamounia.”) We did eat dinner here one night, and the food was delicious and service fine.

A beautiful place with incredible decor. A very short walk from the main market and the souk.
Each of the rooms are individually decorated in their own particular style.
I would not hesitate to go there again.

Shower didn't work and room was damp and musty smelling. I had a hammam which is an exfoliation massage. I was told it would be 40 to45 minutes long. My massage was 25 minutes long. When I complained the lady was apologetic and told me she would see what she could do. She said then said she was sorry but there was nothing she could do since it is only when you have two people at the same time then it is 45 minutes. Other places we stayed the service was amazing. The gardens here are beautiful but there are plenty of wonderful riads. Save your money and stay somewhere else!!

We enjoyed our 3-night stay in this Riad, located just a quick walk to the main, crazy medina in Marrakesh. Our room was smaller than some rooms in other Riads in which we stayed, but was well maintained with wonderful architectural detail. The internal garden area was spectacular, with a central pool and lots of plants and multiple sitting areas, but we weren't sure whether the strong floral scent was natural or artificial. Excellent morning breakfast and good front desk support. Strong wifi but only near the pool area. Recommended overall.

Woaw!

After setting a foot inside this Palace we immediately got transported into an oriental paradise. Vegetation, furniture, tea, pastry, music, and architecture, everything is there to make sure you're rapidly disconnecting and enjoying your vacations. The rooms are all different and all large and gorgeous (we were a group of 15 and could visit lots of different rooms).

Their homemade food (tagine, couscous,...) is delicious. It is one of the only place we visited where portions were reasonable. The Riad also organized a special gala dinner (6 courses), which was classy, delicious, copious, and nicely presented.

The staff is warm and at your disposal for anything you want to. They are super friendly, very smiling, and absolutely multi-langual.

If Palais Sebban is in your price range, go there, you won't be disappointed.

This is actually IN the medina, about a 10 minute walk to the square. It's hidden down a tiny alley off another alley. You open this anonymous door, walk down a hall, and suddenly you're in wonderland. The hotel was fully booked when our tour group came, and the staff was clearly overwhelmed by that level of business and took forever serving us a tiny dinner. There were some issues for other guests over sharing baths, being moved to an older, dustier wing. However, they tried hard, provided friendly service, good breakfast, and lovely rooms. I'd gladly stay here again. Go up on the roof for their roof garden.

We booked our three days through Classic Collections and were upgraded to top floor suites because of this. Unfortunately one king bed couldn't be separated so I got to sleep on a single behind a column but this was organised efficiently and our room (the Bebere) was fantastic. The private courtyard lovely.

Desk staff were great and the cleanliness superb and our arrival porter a delight.

Our only niggle was the restaurant staff who were unresponsive and uncommunicative. When you ask for a bottle of wine you do not expect to watch two tables laid before the bar is visited. In general, if sitting around the pool one would think someone would ask if they could get you anything. Not here.

That aside, Palais Sebban is a traditional riad located very centrally. It has gravitas and is walking distance to the souk, the main square and many wonderful restaurants.

Room Tip: Berbere wonderful for a couple. I did see into another lovely premier room on the first floor. I wou...
