Went to the Cafe Clock based on TA reviews and weren't disappointed. My wife and daughter are vegetarian and options in many eateries in marrakech are limited (vegetable cous cous or tagine). Whilst not an extensive menu by any means, the cafe clock did offer some good vegatarian choices, the Moroccan vegetarian tapas plate was excellent and my veggie pastilla was also very good. There are plenty of non veggie options too. It is what it says, a cafe that also doubles up as an art centre at times. We really liked the feel of the place. Don't expect a trendy cafe/bistro, do expect good food and good service.

To be honest, I just went to this place to eat some camel- actually it tastes more or less like beef but still worth the experience. I had a milkshake, moroccan sweets and ice cream as a present from the kitchen as there were only few customers. The food was good but I really liked the decoration, the calm atmosphere and the extremely friendly staff. Expect european prices.

Visiting Cafe Clock was a highlight of our trip. We went on Thursday night and had the incredible experience of seeing old school Moroccan story tellers. It was a cultural highlight of our trip to hear (and understand) the stories. They have a jammed packed schedule of events with jam sessions and cooking classes. (They also seem to have some exercise classes which I personally find really weird and a bit off-putting.) There's interesting art all over and its a really cool place in general.

We also had food, which is where the place seems to be a bit lacking. The menu is limited and we found the prices a bit higher than they should be. We tried the camel burger, which was fine, but more of a gimmick than anything. We also had the couscous which was a surprising 90dhs! (A dish you could get almost anywhere at a lower price.)

Overall, we suggest checking out their interesting events and trying a beverage (Date Milkshake was really good) but skipping the food.

This place is great for vegetarians. The menu is small but makes up in taste and vegetarian choices. It is not a family place. We went there with two kids and felt a little out of place. Also realized after dinner that the lower level was non smoking.

But certainly good enough that we are going back tomorrow for story telling night.

Go on a Thursday. We might have to go back... On a Thursday, they do traditional Moroccan story telling and encourage restaurant-goers to tell a story, too.
Our waiter - charming bloke - was a student studying English and told us he was a story teller. He was a great waiter as well! Helpful explaining the menu and accepting our alterations.
The whole cross culture atmosphere of Cafe Clock was really cool - a seriously impressive place. Being honest, the food wasn't the best - okay, but not exactly a culinary delight. The camel burgers had a mixed reception - some of our party loved them, but they gave one of them the hump... (Sorry). Chicken sandwich was good and the salads well received.
So definitely worth taking the exciting trip through the Kasbah to find Cafe Clock - it's great fun.
