Beautiful restored riad that provides a lovely relaxing retreat from the hectic pace of the city. Excellent service, the staff are all really friendly and welcoming and put much effort in ensuring you are well looked after. Lovely rooms, we were lucky to get upgraded on our second night and both rooms were lovely with extra touches of comfort.

Located in the medina about 20 mins walk from the main square and about 10 mins to the northern end of the souks. Well located if you are happy to walk into the city and want a real flavour of medina life. Just watch out for motor scooters! We found Abdess's carefully annotated map a huge help in finding our way around. If you want a day further afield we would also recommend booking a day out with their driver Mustafa who is excellent. We had a lovely day in the Atlas mountains with him.

We stayed for 4 nights and would recommend El Mansour very highly. We would definitely look at staying with them again on when we return to morrocco.

We stayed here for 3 nights in mid-March on recommendation of friends who raved about the place. We can see why - it's a beautiful riad in a good location, with exceptional service. From the moment we landed at the airport, El Mansour arranged for Mustafa to be on hand to escort us to our car and to the riad, giving us top-tips and a mini-Marrakech tour en route. The rooms are beautiful with fabulous rain-showers in the ensuite bathrooms.Plus, welcome drinks & fruit. And complimentary mineral water every day. Breakfast on the terrace, listening to birdsong was a great way to start the day. And all the help offered by Robert and Abdess in terms of recommending restaurants, booking taxis, shopping tips and trips was tremendous. Really, exceptional serice all round.

Room tip: You've got to try Le Foundouk restaurant near Ben Youssif on Souk Hal Fassi. It was a highlight of our trip!

We stayed with another couple for 6 nights at the Riad El Mansour and enjoyed excellent hospitality. The rooms were very comfortable and plenty of hot water! The decor was very well done - you felt you were in someone's private house. Most welcoming of all were the staff who were always friendly, helpful and willing to go beyond expectations. On arrival, and when you are ready, you get an introduction to the city, with places of interest and how to get there marked on the map for you. Wadi, Abdess and Moustafa really were interested on how we got on and what we thought of Marrakech. They arranged our trip to the Atlas Mountains and negotiated the guide to take us on the climb up to the waterfall. The other support staff who cleaned the rooms, provided meals, and brought the tea were also very friendly. It was very nice to find that the room light had been turned on, the bedding prepared and fresh fruit replenished on our return in the evenings. Altogether a really relaxing place to stay after the bussle of the city. Top Marks to the owner for selecting the staff.

Room tip: All the rooms were very good.

My husband and I stayed at Riad El Mansour for three nights in September 2011, and we had a fantastic time. We were determined to stay in the Medina, and this riad provided a welcome oasis from the chaos. We stayed in the orange-walled suite, which was beautiful and comfortable.
Wadi and Abdess were always smiling and willing to help us with anything we asked. Upon arrival, we relaxed on the open terrace with mint tea and fruit. We didn't have the energy to brave the Medina that afternoon, so we ordered dinner at the riad. It was a delicious feast of tagine that was way too much for us to finish. We booked a walking tour the next day with Abdul, which was a great introduction to the city and history, and it made us more comfortable to venture out on our own. The souks are a maze, and you will definitely get lost at some point, but once you accept this and go with it, it is a great adventure!
We dined out at Cafe Arabe, which was a fantastic recommendation from two Irish girls who we befriended at the riad. It is geared toward tourists, but it has the most amazing open-air dining terrace with gorgeous views at sunset, lounge-style seating, and good food and drinks. You can hang out for hours, just taking in the views and enjoying a few cocktails. Normally we don't seek out touristy restaurants, but everything in Marrakech is so foreign that Cafe Arabe was a relaxing treat.
For our last full day, we booked a tour of the Atlas Mountains with Aziz. It was a fantastic way to end our trip. Aziz was very friendly, knowledgeable and interesting (he speaks several Berber dialects, plus English and Arabic), and getting out of the Medina to see the Berber villages was an fascinating experience that is not to be missed.
Overall, we were so happy with our trip to Marrakech, and with Riad El Mansour. We will be back!

We recently had a three night stay and would highly recommend the Riad El Mansour to anyone thinking of going to Marrakech. We were met at the airport by our friendly taxi driver (organised by the riad) who walked us right up to the door of the riad. The sights and sounds can be quite overwhelming at first and the riad was a welcome oasis of calm. The location of the riad was good for us as we were within easy walking distance of the YSL gardens just outside the medina and yet could easily walk down to the souks and the main square. On arrival we were given valuable local information by Abdess regarding places to go and anything to avoid which proved very helpful. We ate in the riad on our first night, the traditional food was delicious and the setting is just so romantic. Throughout our stay we found the staff at El Mansour simply delightful, they could not do enough for us. Our room was beautiful, cleaned twice a day and beds turned down at night which was a lovely touch. We were never pressured to be in a particular place at any time and overall the staff at El Mansour helped our trip to be absolutely unforgettable.
