This place was amazing, from the hospitality to the hammam, to the room and the food. Everything was wonderful. THe mint tea and moroccan pastries hit the spot. I'd go back again and again.

What an awesome place, fell in love with this Riad and the staff, they were all so fantastic. They gave so much helpful advice and were quick to do anything for us. I would fully recomend this Riad to anyone. We stayed in the Suite and loved everything about it.

I will start off by saying that this is my first review of any place that I've stayed at. My experience at this place was spectacular!
From the beginning to the end everything was perfect.
The hospitality was off the charts, everyone had a smile and an eagerness to show off their amazing culture. After learning a bit about the hotel, the manager gave us some do's & don'ts of the city while drinking their local Moroccan mint tea. You could talk with anyone from the hotel and get a feel for the city, country or culture.
When we first walked into the hotel we didn't feel like we were on vacation, it felt like a second home. There was a little bit of everything from the city scattered throughout the hotel. From the paintings in the rooms to the local Thuya wood sculptures. If you are above 6' you have to duck your head walking into some of the rooms. We made a game of counting how many times each one of us would hit our head on doorways. Be sure to read some of the many books scattered throughout the hotel. A lot of them had very helpful hint/places to visit while there. The rooms were great size and we really enjoying the terrace.
The chief prepared your meal daily with the fresh products of the city. Breakfast was great and we really enjoyed dinner as well. Who ever served us was always full of joy and would explain the importance of some of their dishes. Great Price and great portions. We did go to the main square at night looking for some great food cooked in front of you. Some places were great.. Others not so great.
Some people had problems with the location.. It was kind of down a few alleys and there was only one way to get to it.. But that didn't bother us. We had more trouble with the Souks. If you can find the outer wall of Old Marrakesh you'll be able to find the street to get your self home for the night sober or tipsy. If all else fails take a taxis or ask one of the many children around the city to take you there. Its pretty cheap... Also keep a map with you so you can point to the taxis driver where you need to go. Most of our encounters they spoke French.
To sum everything up.. Best trip ever. I've been to 12 different countries in the past year and this was the best experience at of all of them. Highly recommend this Hotel for everyone and don’t be afraid to get lost in the city you will find some off the map experiences.

This riad definately deserves the high reviews given. The staff are totally attentive without being intrusive and always had a smile and a cheerful word. We were picked up from the airport and also transported to the coach station and picked up again all at no extra cost. I have no hesitation in recommending this as a wonderful place to stay in Marrakesh. Just go and enjoy

Firstly I'd just like to say that overall our stay lived up to the reviews that have generally been posted already. The Riad is beautiful, comfortable and clean with very pleasant staff. We were made to feel so welcome and relaxed. Nothing is too much trouble and there is exactly the right balance between being keen to provide services without being at all intrusive.

One or two have pointed out the slightly daunting location which is true. There is a bit of a walk through a couple of narrow alleyways which some people might not fancy at night, but probably wouldn't bother an experienced traveller.

The only downside to our stay was when we used the Riad for booking trips. We went there without a firm plan of what we wanted to see and do, which was a mistake. We ended up booking a guided tour of the city, a trip to the Atlas mountains and an evening meal out.

The city tour was very enjoyable and I would recommend it. The guide was good company and showed us all we wanted. He did take us into souks run by people that he seemed to be friendly with but it was no problem - they weren't too pushy. If you do this tour just make sure you have plenty of cash because you will need to pay extra if you want to go into any buildings.

The evening meal out was a bit of a shock. When we sat down, we got the menu and then realised that the meal was going to end up costing us over eighty pounds. It was a nice place but to be honest I wouldn't want to spend that on a meal in Britain and was hoping for a fairly cheap night out. So if you want the Riad to book a place to eat then make sure you tell them your budget.

The next day we went on a trip to the Atlas mountains. A day away from being hassled into buying things....or so I thought. The guide asked us what we would like to do and I said we'd let him decide - after all he was meant to be our guide. That was a mistake because it took 3 hours to get to the mountains, due to him stopping off at shops on the way! When we finally got to the mountains we were told we would be guided to the waterfalls...for a further 200Dh. We paid up because we'd been driving for so long and there seemed to be nothing else to do there. So again my advice would be to plan ahead so you can tell the driver what you want to see.

We had a great time at the El Mansour The staff were fantastic – friendly, helpful recommending great restaurants and arranging bookings and taxis to get us there.

The top floor is a great suntrap acting as an oasis of calm from the manic and exciting city. Here we would have the delicious and substantial breakfasts (although any style of eggs ordered, seemingly inevitably, appeared in the form of an omelette) as well as lounging around in the afternoon. It was also here where the evening meals were served. These were good although, like Marrakech as a whole, not cheap. It was during this meal we first sampled the delights of, what I assume is an acquired taste, Pastilla. No blame on the El Mansour as I imagine what we got to be a perfectly good example of the local chicken cake?!

An example of the great staff occurred one evening when, whilst having a drink, we asked if they had any playing cards. Before we knew it someone had hotfooted it out in to the city and has bought us back two packs.

I can’t imagine a more suitable hotel for Marrakech. Hidden away in the bowels of the old town with its beautiful décor and attentive and friendly staff.

Have just returned after spending 3 nights in Marrakech. We chose the El Mansour based on its Trip advisor reviews and were not disappointed. The staff were all excellent and willing to assist in any way at all times. The ambience and decor were good and the whole place was always spotlessly clean. our Room ( Number 2 ) was very good and there was always fresh fruit ,nibbles and bottled water available. They changed towels whenever we used them ( often twice a day ) until we requested them not to. Marrakech itself was facinating and we had a great break.
