Riad Ben Tachfine ex Riad El mansour

Great riad, in the medina area but away from all the tourist mayhem, the staff were friendly and helpful, the service immaculate, the hotel itself stunning with an amazing rooftop area, the food was great. Rooms on the small side but beautifully done up and comforable with lovely bathrooms. I could not reccommend this hotel more.

Selected this on the basis on reviews and we were very pleased with our 7 night stay. Thanks for the advice!

Excellent service from start to finish - from Wadi's emails to collection at the airport to the fabulous although over-generous meal on the roof terrace awaiting us on the first evening. Wadi and Mustapha were first class hosts throughout our stay, organising trips to the Atlas mountains, reservations and taxis to restaurants and taking all the stress out of making arrangements. The hammam and massage in the riad were one of the highlights of our stay - what an experience!

We were a little worried about getting lost but it turned out to be okay. The walk to the main square at Jamaa el Fna was about 15 minutes or so and was easy enough due to arrows pointing the way through a maze of alleys. The day we were leaving the old faster route was being opened up again after construction work - this cuts about 5 minutes off the walk and means the taxi can drop you just around the corner instead of having to walk you the last five minutes back.

The suite was beautiful and returning to the riad after the bustle of Marrakech was like entering an oasis. Recommended - we would visit again.

Everything about this place was perfect. From the emails I had from Wadi and Abdess when we were planning our stay right up to the day we (very sadly) left. It was amazing! We were greeted at the airport by a lovely driver, and were looked after every minute for the rest of our 4 day stay. Wadi and Abdess were so, so helpful at every point. The room was wonderful. We stayed in the suite and it was worth every penny. The breakfast was delicious, and the sun terrace was beautiful. Everything was perfectly clean and the other staff were also super friendly and helpful. We had a meal there on our first night, which was delicious. Another night, Wadi recommended a restaurant, and that too was wonderful!

We will definitely stay again. I already want to go back!

Thanks so much to Wadi, Abdess and all of the staff

We stayed at Riad Al Mansoor after reading all the positive reviews on TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed. Mustapha and Wadi were so helpful and friendly and made this holiday a memorable one. We were picked up from the airport and taken to the door of the riad. Our room (we booked the suite) was very pleasant and luxurious with air-conditioning and a lovely big shower. We had dinner on the terrace on our first night as it was our anniversary and the food was delicious and quantities were very large. All the staff were really polite and attentive. The resident cat was also impressed with the food!

The only downside was the walk to the riad itself. It is very difficult to find as you have to navigate yourself through so many of the small alleyways and it would be quite difficult with older guests. I think this was due to some building works going on so the route was re-directed. You can easily get run over by all the mopeds whizzing past.

Apart from this minor fact, we had a great holiday. The staff helped us with what to do and see and even booked restaurants and taxis for us, making life much easier in this busy and fast-moving vibrant city. I would thoroughly recommend this riad.

Thank you for the positive review.
With regards to the walk to the Riad, thankfully this has now been corrected.
It is true that the walk from our riad had been a bit difficult these past few months as construction scaffolding in the area prevented the two minute easy walk from the Riad to the main access routes leading to the Square, Marjorelle Gardens, Souks and transportation.
I am very pleased to say that the scaffolding has finally come down and the street is being tidied up and will be open in a few days time and once again we will have the ease of access that has been enjoyed by all of our previous guests, bar those who stayed with us these past few months, and to those guests I gave a special thanks for your endurance.

We came to Marrakech for 6 days starting at Riad El Mansour after hearing about if from good friends who stayed her before.
We were very impressed with the service and very friendly, and 'not in your face'. The riad has charm being a very pleasant surprise behind the big black door!
We heard so much at the food that we ate here. You get plenty so be warned! It really was superb. We ate on the terrace and with the sunsetting and call to prayer, it was sublime.

Our room was very clean and well presented with Moroccan pastries, flowers and fruit.
Our favourite place was the sun terrace and reading room which we used often.

Should we find ourselves returning to Marrakech, we would return here.

I visited the beautiful Riad el Mansour with 2 girl friends last month. It was the first time in Marrakech for all three of us. Our wonderful break started with a warm welcome from Abdess, the hotel manager. Abdess was kind, sincere and having lived in Marrakech all his life is very knowledgable of the city and its many delights.

We all stayed in room one which was unlike any other room I had ever stayed in, the attention to detail was superb with fresh fruit, flowers and best of all a small gift for each of us.

The hotel itself was beautiful with great views and beautiful art work and decor. All the staff were so very friendly and ready to help out at any hour. I cannot wait to return.
