My wife and I stayed in the Riad el Mansour for 3 nights over Christmas and our experience was excellent. While complimentary airport/train station transfer was available, we chose to do some sight seeing upon our arrival and met Abdess at a pre-arranged landmark, from where he kindly walked us to the Riad. On arrival, we were given a complimentary soft drink and in our room, a map, some fruit and pastries were waiting for us.

During our stay the staff were excellent, helping us with our every need. Abdess reserved dinner for us in a wonderful restaurant, arranged for a taxi to collect us from the riad and to bring us back after and also organised a guide who took us on a leisurely stroll through the medina.

Overall, the Riad is exactly as has been described in the vast majority of the previous reviews and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakech.

We arrived in the dark (after a 10 hour flight delay with Royal Air Maroc) and were led down a narrow dark alleyway by our taxi driver, just as we were starting to fear for our wallets, we arrived at the studded wooden door to the Riad El Mansour.

We needn't have worried, of course. The welcome (even at 1am) was superb and made us feel immediately at home. We woke late for breakfast but the staff graciously catered for our sleepy heads with a good breakfast.

After breakfast the duty manager gave us an extremely useful briefing (with map) to help us find our way to the highlights of the city and back.

We stayed in the suite and loved it's decor and traditional ambience. Bottled water and dried/fresh fruit was provided daily. We also ate one very good evening meal on the roof of the Riad.

Overall, good hotel made great by it's excellent staff.

My husband and I recently enjoyed a 4-night stay at this delightful Riad. We had chosen it based on the reviews from this site and are pleased to say that it met - and even exceeded - our high expectations. Quite simply, you would be hard pressed to find anything better.
The rooms were beautiful and the entire Riad is maintained to a very high standard, which is something that you appreciate more with each passing day in this fascinating city.
Our room was very clean and both the shower and bed were magnificent! We appreciate a firm bed, so this might not be to everyone's taste. All of the expected amenities were provided, making for a most comfortable stay. Our room did not have a TV, but we were given complimentary use of a portable DVD player (and a selection of DVDs) which came in handy during our downtime. The free daily water and both fresh and dried fruit were a lovely addition. For some reason, we had poor wifi signal in our room itself, but there were no issues anywhere else in the Riad. If you do not have a laptop, they have a computer in the reception area that you are welcome to use at any time. There is also a large selection of books at the Riad that you are welcome to borrow over the course of your stay.
The breakfast is generous and very tasty. We ate up large and it kept us going until dinnertime. You select your breakfast from a menu and it is brought to you - at a location of your choice within the Riad (e.g. room/poolside/terrace, etc). Marvellous! We also ate at the Riad on the night of our arrival - talk about a feast! All of the food was delicious and definitely on par with the better quality restaurants in the city.
The staff are simply wonderful. They were consistently friendly and always only too happy to patiently assist us with any questions or requests. We never felt as though we were a bother and although the service was attentive, it was never intrusive. There is a strong feeling that the staff are there to maximise the enjoyment of your stay.....and they are successful in this aim!
The staff will willingly help you out with all dinner, taxi and day trip bookings. This is not in keeping with our usual 'travel style' (we usually do everything ourselves), but in Marrakech it was actually so nice (and probably wise) to know that everything was taken care of! All of their dinner recommendations were spot on and their organisation of the taxi service makes for a seamless evening experience. We were celebrating my husband's 30th birthday and the staff very kindly acknowledged this with a thoughtful, personalised gift.
The location is wonderful - within the Medina, but away from much of the crazy hussle of the main square and souks. Marrakech's Medina will never be completely quiet, but all things considered, we had a very relaxing and undisturbed stay. Also, we felt very safe at all times. It is an easy 10-min walk to the centre - luckily we never got lost, but if you did, there are plenty of locals who would certainly assist you.
All airport transfers are included in the price, which is fantastic since the only other realistic option is that you will get lost for a substantial amount of time!
We also made use of their hammam service, which I definitely recommend. What an experience! Leave your inhibitions at the door and just enjoy it!
Again, this is a great Riad - surely one of the best that exists in this town. Our experience seems to be consistent with that of many, many others and if we were to return to Marrakech, we would look no further than Riad El Mansour.
Our sincere thanks to all of the staff for helping to make our stay so special.

Just returned after a 5 day stay in this Riad.
Highly reccomended, after staiyng in so many 5 star hotels, bland and inoffensive, my stay here was superb.
The amenities provided such as slippers, bathrobes at the night turn down service, put other overpriced hotels to shame.
I took advantage of the free massage after a day in the souks, what a way to relax!
The hotel staff are amazing.
Free airport transfers, free massage, superb staff.. what more could one ask for?
The area is great, you are not bombarded straight away with tourist tack. It is in a superbly quit cul de sac in the REAL Marrakech and still only 10 minute walk to the mayhem of the famous Jemaa Fna Square.
Try and book and get to stay there if you can!
