We could not believe the peace and calm that you experience in this wonderful riad, once you step through the door off the street. The welcome started with mint tea and patisserie in the courtyard to the gentle sound of birds and the fountain. Everywhere was spotless, the staff immaculate in their outfits and with a ready smile and greeting at all times. With temperatures outside nearing 40 degrees the air-conditioning in the room was really effective and when combined with a very comfortable bed we slept well during our 3 night stay. We really enjoyed our breakfasts - especially the fresh fruit and omelettes but, due to the draw of Jemaa el-Fna Square and other evening entertainment, we only managed one evening meal at the riad, but that was excellent. We really hope to return to Morocco and this is definitely where we would always want to stay in Marrakech.

Room Tip: Room 204 was ideal for us - it didn't seem to get direct sunlight and had a good view of the cou...

This was our first night stay in a 13 day Morocco tour. Looking back I would say it provides a good view of the overall Riad experience. It has a nice garden area with a good sized pool for a Riad. The seating around the garden is in a very comfortable alcove type arrangement with some privacy but a community feel. The food was always well done with the ever present Tangine and Grill options. As we noted with all Moroccan hosts the service is an interesting blend of traditional waiting and do it yourself. You will need to reach out for assistance more than you are used to but the response is always warmly received and well executed. The rooms are comfortable with very firm beds that are a standard everywhere we went and a clean layout. Given it is a Medina location and in densely populated surroundings the views and light in the room are limited but the space is open and airy. Internet is spotty everywhere so you have to find the zone that works - here is was out in an alcove off the garden.

All in all we a glad this location was selected for the first phase of our trip and we would certainly consider it if we return to Marrakech.

Stayed 4 nights in late May. This is a lovely, calm oasis in the hectic city. Beautifully decorated and well maintained. We had room 303 which had a 4 poster bed and views over the courtyard and pool. Excellent facilities- pool, spa, restaurant, bar, safes in rooms, good towels, bathrobes etc. Approx 20 mins walk to the main square- felt very comfortable and totally safe walking back even late at night. All staff friendly and helpful- nothing too much trouble, from ordering taxis to storing our bags on our last day. Massage and facial in the spa both excellent.
Don't hesitate!

Room Tip: Marrakech is a busy city- there will be noise from the streets, animals etc. no matter where you sta...

We spent a week here and loved this place. It is just 10 min walk from the main Marrakech attractions and is really quiet, clean and very, very nice.

The staff were very friendly and always helpful. We liked the touch of the general manager waiting for us on our arrival day to welcome us even if we arrived very late.

They serve very good breakfast and also the quality of the restaurant is quite good (although we only ate there once).

Overall we can definitely highly recommend this place

We had four nights here and loved it. Staff where all friendly and extremely helpful. Very nice room and a good size pool given the location in the Medina this is a rarity. The food was good and we enjoyed the meal in the restaurant, the lamb tagine was fantastic and the banana pancake one of the best I have had. It is a 20 minute walk to the square but that's fine given the quality of the hotel, pool and staff. Only comment I would add is I don't know why the glass roof over the restaurant is sometimes closed it's better open . A couple more sun beds around the pool would be nice there is a bit more space to do that. Over all I would highly recommend this hotel.

I chose this riad based on all the other amazing reviews. Very good value for money, staff were very friendly and helpful. I was staying on my own and the lovely receptionist asked all the other guests if any of them wanted to go to one of the day trips with me so that I wasn't on my own. They also arranged a lovely guide to take me around the city at very short notice.

I only ate at the riad once but it was lovely. I had the beef cous cous. I nearly had a heart attack when the meat came attached to the bone (I'm a really fussy eater) but it tasted absolutely delicious. The breakfast was lovely too- there was always someone there to cook you up a fresh omelette. They also have buy one get one free on cocktails between 6:30 and 7:30pm.

As a single person staying at the riad, it would have been so easy for me to hide away in my room whenever I was there. I was impressed by the many cute places to sit and enjoy a cocktail or glass of mint tea- the bar, the terrace, the pool, etc. There was even a little living room area. I was also impressed by how good the WIFI was!

All in all a great riad!

Have just got back from a 5 night trip to celebrate a wedding anniversary. We chose the hotel based on other reviews and were not in the least bit disappointed. The hotel is located in a quiet part of the medina but only about a 15 minute stroll away from the main square (Jemaa el-Fnaa) and it really is a little oasis of peace. The facilities are fantastic and our suite was beautifully decorated and very comfortable, with rose petals on the bed each night! The restaurant courtyards and pool are idyllic. The staff are friendly and helpful - the two ladies who run reception each organised restaurant reservations for us (including a fantastic anniversary meal) as well as taxis (telling us how much to pay for the fare in advance to save too much haggling). The spa is also well worth a visit -- a real experience and totally relaxing.
All in all I would thoroughly recommend the Borjs and will definitely go back for another visit!

Room Tip: If possible go for a suite as the extra space is nice. We had a room facing towards the pool which w...
