Riad Limouna is a very clean and cosy hotel - big contrast with most of the streets in the old Medina. It feels like a different world from the busy souks the second you step into it even though it is only a few minutes walk away from the market square - i.e. the location is fantastic. The owner, Antoine, was more than welcoming. He picked us up from where our taxi dropped us off and walked us to the market square to make sure we knew our way around. We had to make a late arrangement for our dinner, so on top and above, Antoine personally cooked the meal for us to accommodate this despite the hotel staff had already gone home. The food was fantastic although there wasn’t a fixed menu. Instead, Antoine e-mailed us in advance to ask for our food choices. Our flight was at 8pm the next day, we were grateful that Antoine let us leave our luggages in our room until we had to leave for the airport. His personal touches had make this stay more than amazing. I would recommend this hotel with no hesitation!

Riad Limouna is beautiful, charming, clean and in the perfect location. The food there was authentic and delicious and the owner, Antoine, was very welcoming. The riad is located close enough to walk to any of the main tourist attractions and all the main bits of the markets. Antoine even took us to his own local shop to buy spices because he knew they would be great quality and fresh. The massages at Riad Limouna as part of the anti-stress package were the best I have ever had. The rooms were cozy and the airconditioner was a major bonus! The rooftop patio was fabulous for drinks in the evening and the little pool was perfect for a quick dip after shopping all day. I would definitely stay again.

From the moment we arrived I knew that we had made the right decision in staying here.We were greeted by Antoine who was very warm and friendly. The room was decorated in a cozy local style with simple yet fitting furniture. There is a great rooftop patio with shade..you can choose to bring drinks or snacks or wine up top to enjoy the rooftop views. We ate at the raid two nits for dinner and had delicious meals both nights.Antoine always made us feel at home and was a great resource for the local area. He was always so pleasant and accommodating. The breakfasts were great and we got the massage package which included two 1/2 hour massages which were awesome. I would definitely recommend and stay here on my return trip.

Room Tip: You can't get a bad room here, they are all well appointed

I have written below a warning about our arrival in Marrakech. I have put it below as I don't want this to reflect on the Riad Limouna,

So, the Riad is down a very unassuming side street off a small square.we were welcomed by the hosts who made us tea as we arrived. We were taken to our room where we dropped our stuff and was shown into Marrakesh so we would not get lost.

We ate dinner at the Riad that night and were treated to a sardine tagine. I discovered that they used to run a restaurant in castelnaudry during my trip to domaine las Castaneda in France, and their food was just as excellent as I remembered! What a treat and a real coincidence!
they arranged a taxi to take us to oasiria waterpark (despite its bad reviews it was somewhere cool!) and a taxi to take us to back to the airport.

We followed their recommendation and visited the photographic museum (views and food was great, and the photos were interesting and worth the visit) and experienced street food also on recommendation.

The room was lovely, the Riad was beautiful, the terrace was fantastic, the plunge pool was cool and the service fantastic. Also it was inexpensive and it was friendly. It was a real oasis from the madness if the souks!

Certainly recommend to anyone!

OUR ARRIVAL IN MARRAKESH (NOTHING TO DO WITH THE RIAD LIMOUNA!).... When we arrived in Marrakech we were dropped near a petite taxi line. The guidebook states that before you get in any taxi in the cities you need to agree a price. Follow this advice! We jumped into a taxi that just pulled up, explained to the driver where we wanted to go. He then mentioned something about a 'tour'.... Despite our protests he then starts driving all over ... The tour included the local police station, a housing estate.... You get the picture! He then tried to charge us £50 for the pleasure. After a few heated words, involvement of the locals and a threat of calling the police, we paid the driver a reduced £20 and learnt our lesson. It was a horrid experience and one we would not want anyone else to go through!

My husband and I stayed at Riad Limouna for 4 nights in May 2013 and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. This was our first trip to Marrakech and upon arriving (they arranged an airport transfer) Antoine sat with us and gave us tips for our stay in this city and then walked us to the square to show us the way. This was so helpful as it may have been hard to navigate otherwise. After he showed us the way we were very comfortable doing it on our own as the riad is only 5 minutes from the square. The food was amazing! We had 2 dinners which were both delicious and each breakfast was excellent. The staff arranged for us to go on a day trip to the Atlas mountains and we had a really great time. It was so nice to come back to the riad and relax on the rooftop deck after a day in the city. The staff were wonderful!- they were all very welcoming and always quick to offer us a mint tea! We would definitely stay here again!
