I recently stayed for 5 nights at the Riad le Clos des Arts, and I would confirm all of the positive comments of other reviewers. It is a lovely Riad, with a calm and peaceful atmosphere, whilst being very close to all the 'action' in Marrakech.
Giorgina and Massimo are wonderful hosts, being friendly and helpful. And they will happily give suggestions and arrange for any trips that you wish to go on.
I would recomend that you let them organise the transportation to and from the airport....it is convenient and no more expensive than a normal taxi....and I can'y believe that anybody would have reason to complain about the cost. Please ignore such negative comments.

We spend a week in this wonderful Riad and from the moment we stepped through the doors we knew this was heaven. Our hosts Giorgina and Massimo are such lovely persons and together with their staff they made our stay perfect.
Starting with the rooms - as the rest of the house - that are beautifully furbished and spacious. The bed and mattress were great! I had the room Nacre on the ground floor. And even I was skeptical that I would hear too much noise in the morning it was only quiet.
We took our breakfast on the terrace which was the perfect start in the day. A big variety of fruits, breads, omelets to choose from. And what ever was not there and we asked for they could make it. Even bake special bread with gluten-free flour for our allergic friend!
On the terrace is a covered sitting area, sun chairs and a little pool. The ambience is very nice.
Also to mention is the delicious food in the Riad. We had a lamb tagine with prunes the night we arrived. And after being in Marrakech for the 4th time and having had quite a few tanginess I have to say that this one was simply the best!
Looking at our stay I can strongly recommend this Riad. We felt part of the Riad-Family from the first moment on. Everybody tried to make us feel good. Even at night when we returned from our dancing we got a mint tea with a smile from Mekki. Thank you so much!
We will definitely come back. All the best to you.

My senses are still tingling from the week I spent at this beautiful oasis in the heart of Marrakech. From the soothing scent of Jasmine in the entrance and stairway, the relaxing bubble of the fountain in the central courtyard, the wonderful colourful lamps and elegant furnishings in the rooms, the best Tagine that I have ever had and breakfasts to die for, it really couldn't have been better.
The owners Giorgina and Massimo are wonderful hosts and couldn't have been more helpful, there when we needed them, unobtrusive when we didn't and always there to make sure everything was as perfect as possible. The other staff were lovely as well, particularly the nightwatchman Michi who insisted on collecting us ladies from the nearby parking area if we were having a late night, he served us mint tea with a smile at 3 in the morning and even offered to bring us warm water for our tired dancing feet - absolutely over and above the call of duty.
The location of the Riad is also one of the very best, being very central to the main square and the nearby souks, but still managing to achieve a stillness that was perfect after a busy day of exploring the sights and sounds of Marrakech. Coming home with tired legs and full shopping bags, it was wonderful to relax on the sofas in the courtyard and enjoy a cup of café au lait.
I will return to Marrakech in the autumn (inshallah) and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else.
Giorgina and Massimo, thank you for everything.

Room Tip: They are all lovely

We stayed here for five nights and took over the whole Riad with a group of friends, we had the most amazing time. Georginia and Massimo really couldn't have been better hosts and took over the organisation of our trip with ease - we went trekking in the Atlas Mountains, ate at some wonderful restaurants organised/recommended by them both. Having said that our best meals were probably the ones that Georgina and Massimo laid on at the Riad. Real feasts and very special. Good prices too! We will be back....

Room Tip: We stayed in the Turquoise room on the first floor, would probably recommend first floor rooms rather than ground floor. Not 'Ruby' a very small double bedroom!

My husband and I stayed there for three nights in March. Riad le Clos des Arts is a lovely oasis that is beautifully decorated and has every amenity. The hosts and staff were friendly and very helpful. The first night we arrived we ate a delicious and meticulously presented meal which was a wonderful option after a long day of travel. Breakfasts on the terrace were a splendid start to the day. We would highly recommend this riad to our friends and family and look forward to returning one day!
