Thanks to Fatima, Aziz and Omar for making our 2 night stay so fantastic in this lovely, quiet riad in the middle of the exciting Marrakech medina. We will always remember the lemon chicken tagine dinner and gr8 dessert with a view overlooking the tranquil pool. We enjoyed our many conversations with our new friend Aziz learning about Moroccan culture and history. Our rose pedal decorated room was beautiful with lovely generous gifts of leather slippers, soaps, nuts, cookies and of course the delicious mint tea. We felt very comfortable walking to the square at night.

We stayed at Riad Zolah for my birthday in March. The riad itself is a beautiful oasis of calm in the middle of town. The communal areas and the rooms are beautiful - to the point where we spent quite a bit of time just relaxing there rather than being out and about all the time we were in Marrakech.
As many of the other reviews have mentioned, the staff at Riad Zolah are absolutely lovely - they are so friendly and go out of their way to help with recommending things to visit, offering to make reservations and even to walk you to the place you are going! They also upgraded our room as they saw it was my birthday, which was really nice of them. They also give you a mobile phone to use during your stay in case you get lost, (very possible!) which is another really nice touch. We ate in the riad one night and would really recommend the food there and the wonderful service. All in all a really great experience.

We have just returned from a wonderful 5 night break at Riad Zolah where we stayed with our 2 teenage daughters.
We would highly recommend this riad - it's not only tranquil and beautiful, but also it's in a great location. We felt like we were staying in a true Morrocan 'home'. But probably the most outstanding and memorable part of our stay though was meeting Aziz, Omar, Khadisha and Fatima who made us feel as if we were staying with friends. They were so genuinely warm, kind helpful and always willing to share local knowledge etc. It was fantastic returning home from 'medina mayhem' to their friendly welcome and offer of refreshments (complimentary!) Also lots of lovely touches like coming home at night to a turned down bed, rose petals and lit candles!
The food was also delicious, tasty imaginative breakfasts and the meal we ate on the first night was the best tagine we had in Marrakech - (we had the chicken one!) Would have eaten there again if we had stayed longer, but felt we should spread our wings.
Went for coffee at La Mamounia and a walk round the garden which was nice, but felt you could have been anywhere in the world. For the true Marrakech experience you must stay in a riad for that authentic and intimate 'feel' and Riad Zolah really does tick all the right boxes!!

Room Tip: We saw 4 out of the 6 rooms- they were all lovely! Some have fireplaces , so if going in the winter...

We recently returned from a two night stay at Riad Zolah. The riad is truly beautiful and conveniently located. But by far, the most amazing thing is their hospitality! The whole staff is so kind, so sweet and accomodating. They go so far out of their way to make you feel welcome, like family.
The food was wonderful! They were sweet to make us a late, light dinner one night on short notice. The breakfasts were fantastic.
I can't say enough about them all. This place is special, so I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!

My first visit to the lovely Riad was in October 2011 for my friend Sarah's birthday - see previous review. I loved it so much I had to share it with my husband. We have just returned and the team did not fail me. Fatima, Khadija, Aziz, Omar went out of their way to look after us. Providing us with advice, assistance and a welcoming glass of mint tea when the souks got the better of us. After we had officially left to go onto to Essouira they kindly allowed us to leave a suitcase with them and invited us to return to the Riad on the day of our departure for a light lunch and somewhere to spend a couple of hours before heading off to the airport. Transfer car also organised by them. If you are considering a stay in Marrakech look no further.

Room Tip: The room at the top with access to the roof terrace is very nice.

We stayed at Riad Zolah in April, 2012 with our three boys (ages 7, 5 and 1) on the advice of friends that had stayed there the year before. The reservation correspondence went beautifully and we reserved a guide for the market (which I would highly recommend as it is very overwhelming), as well as our first night's dinner, all ahead of time. The guide, Marjeet (phonetical spelling, apologies for any errors), was amazing and we ended up hiring him for another full day later in the week. Our meal was also amazing and our hosts were incredibly accommodating of our picky eaters (children), and of our son who is allergic to eggs and nuts. The location of the Riad is down a quiet set of lanes off the market and was a little off-putting at first, but we never had any issues whatsoever, nor did anyone else we knew that stayed there. It also contributes to the very quiet, oasis-like setting of this Riad. We had a two bedroom (or one bedroom with reception room suite, and my parents had another room. Both were decorated in the traditional Moroccan way and were very beautiful and comfortable. There is a small pool that my boys enjoyed, and it is heated, which was a bonus given that it was not as warm as we thought it would be in Marrakech in early April. My husband and I both took advantage of the in-house Hammam and Massage, and would definitely recommend the experience. Overall, I would highly recommend this Riad, as it is a great way to get to know some of the local people and an area of Marrakech that one might not usually see.

Room Tip: I saw three of the rooms and they were all gorgeous-

Then we had our third stay at Riad Zolah, and it is just as overwhelming and amazing as the first time. Fantastic staff who assist with excursions, recommendation and reservation of restaurants. We started the day with coffee on the roof followed by a superb breakfast is also served on the roof. Each night the room was prepared for the night with lighted candles and decorated bed. The location is perfect and Marrakesh is an experience. All indications are that there will be a fourth time for us at Zolah.
