I stayed at the Riad Les Trois Mages for six nights this May and had a wonderful experience. The decor was beautiful and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed (which was needed after hours of walking about town and shopping at the souk!). The staff were wonderfully attentive and made my trip easy by arranging taxi transportation to/from the airport and whenever I needed it, as well as booking a wonderful hammam. The breakfasts were wonderful (fresh squeezed orange juice every morning!) and croissants, along with other treats. I traveled solo this trip, but if I return with my family, I would go back to this riad! while I was there, there was a lovely young family from Australia, and a retired couple from England. So the diversity of clientele was nice as well. While "Trois Mages" wasn't as close to the Jmaa as some other riads (about a 15 minute walk), it was well worth the experience I and highly recommend Les Trois Mages to you.

Room Tip: I stayed in the Arabesque room, but I peaked in the others and they all look wonderful!

Myself and six friends all stayed at the Riad for a special birthday. We were met by Aiden who was very attentive and gave us lots of information. He even walked us in the main square on our first night so we didn't get lost, lovely touch! The lovely ladies who cook and clean are wonderful, bringing the massive breakfast to us every morning to the roof terrace was a really special touch. On my friends 30th birthday they even got her a card and flowers. In the evening the night guide always got us drinks and olives and was very helpful. Morocco is beautiful and when I go back next I will be staying at the Les Trois Mages once again. Thank you again for making our stay one to remember. Sam

Riad Les Trois Mages is a wonderful place to stay in the heart of Marrakech. Only a short walk to the city centre and the (amazing) souks, it's an oasis of calm compared to the hustle and bustle outside. Manager Aidan is full of tips and recommendations, and the other staff are always helpful and attentive. The highlight was the beautiful terrace and plunge pool where we could cool off from the sweltering 40 degree heat!

We were met at the Riad by Aidan and he showed us maps and guide books of where we were, where the Souks were, where all the lovely restaurants were and some of the other tourist attractions.
The Riad was very beautfiul and incredibly safe. We seemed to travel to Marrakech at an unseasonally warm time, it was about 39, 40 everyday we were there. We would go out in the morning, come back at lunch at sit on the terrace and cool down in the pool and then back out when temperatures were lower (about 31, 32!!)
Breakfasts were delicious and we also had dinner at the Riad one night too. We had an aubergine dish bought out to us as it was a speciality of one of the lovely ladies who was cooking - it was amazing.
We stayed in the Gaspard room which was very lovely. The bathroom was clean and beautiful and i wish i could have bought it home with me. The air con was a huge help too!
In the evening, the night guard looks after everything and he bought us tea and cake to eat. He was very kind and very helpful.
Everyone was lovely and i would definitely recommend that people stay here when travelling to Marrakech! It's clean, safe and everyone who works there is so helpful. Having a taxi driver on hand to call at any time is a huge advantage too. Hassan was lovely and drove us to La Palmerie for camel riding and then took us around the New Town to see everything there.
I would definitely go back to Les Trois Mages and recommend it to others too.

Room Tip: Check the website, it has details of all the different rooms there.

Got back from Marrakech last week. Cant praise Riad Les Trois Mages enough. All the staff were so friendly and helpful as was Hassan the taxi driver. The Riad is absolutely spotless, beautifully furnished and a real home from home. Ideal place to see to see the 'real Marrakesh'. A little bit of heaven in bustling Marrakech.

We arrived in Marrakech at the end of April, a perfect time to visit before the temperatures soar. We were met at the airport by Hassan the Riad's driver and he was very friendly, the drive to the Riad was eventful in itself (it gives you a preview of what's to come in Marrakech). We reached the Riad by a minutes’ walk through narrow lanes and Hassan helped with our luggage. A driver would be recommended as it may be difficult for other taxis to find. We were greeted by Saida with mint tea and pastries and sat in the courtyard breathing in our beautiful surroundings. Aiden who was already very helpful before we arrived, met us and took us through the map of the Medina, Gueliz etc. We went to our bedroom 'Arabesque' which was lovely. We would have preferred Melchoir but it was unavailable and Arabesque was also pleasant. We had dinner on the rooftop terrace which was delicious, lamb tagine - Yum! You can eat anywhere as long as you let them know where you will be.

We took a guided tour the following day (recommend to help get your wits about you) with 2 others that were staying at the Riad, lovely couple from England :). We ended up getting a whole day's tour for a half day price from Mohammad. You will get the obligatory 'Pharmacy tour' showing spices, teas, lotions and potions.

Breakfast at the Riad was always lovely and the mint tea is amazing - we are trying to recreate at home (wish we asked to get shown). It's amazing to stay in a Riad in the Medina, especially Riad Les Trois Mages. You can enjoy the hustle and bustle of the outside world, then come home to relax in an oasis of calm and tranquillity on one of the many seating areas. The heated pool is lovely for an afternoon dip, if you have had too much sun from the loungers you can take a moment to relax away from the sun and read a book.

We went on to stay at Les Jardin de Kesali for 7 nights which was 7km from the airport. This was a beautiful small hotel with 8 bedrooms, plenty of seating areas to lounge in, big pool, lovely owner Oum and set in beautifully landscaped gardens away from it all.

Hassan the Night Guard is a lovely man. He was always very helpful and friendly pointing out how to get somewhere, making us mint tea, making our stay more comfortable.

We would thoroughly recommended this Riad and all its staff. They helped make us feel at home for our first visit to Marrakech.

Les Trois Mages is an oasis of calm amongst the amazing chaos of the Medina. Hidden away down a narrow alleyway it was a surprise to enter the beautiful, frendly Riad with it's quiet and peaceful courtyard and elegantly furnished rooms. We had the benefit of the suite with it's own sitting area, however the friendliness of all the staff and the cosy little seating areas both downstairs off the courtyard and upstairs on the balcony, meant that we really didn't use it very often. Saida was an amazing cook, the food fresh and beautifully prepared, I adored her homemade yoghurt and fresh fruit at breakfast as well as the jams, pancakes and bread etc !!. Both Aidan and Omar were helpful and friendly giving knowledgeable advice on negotiating the maze of the Medina and Souks and finding superb local restaurants. I would recommend starting the holiday with a Guided Tour, we also went on the 4x4 trip into the Atlas Mountains, which was an extremely eye opening and interesting trip. I would say that this was a holiday to remember and treasure and thoroughly recommend this little jewel of a hotel. April is the perfect time to visit Marrakech before the heat of the summer.

Room Tip: All the rooms were beautiful, however if you have a choice ask for the Bahia Suite!
