A haven amongst the heat and bustle of Marrakech. Aidan was very helpful; showing us the way to the main square on the first evening really helped us to get our bearings. The staff were very helpful and the riad was beautifully decorated in local style. It is well placed for exploring the city and a short walk from the beautiful YSL Marjorelle Gardens, a lovely place to vist on a hot day. We visited in July; if you visit then get most of your sightseeing done in the morning as by the afternoon it is too hot to do anything!

We started and ended our stay in the 3 mages - and it was perfect.

We had dinner on the first night and it was defininatly worth it, hassle free, great food and a reasonable price.

The manager (Aidan) is great - he is helpful and all you can ask for in a manager.

The girls who loil after the place are great and friendly - it helps to speak French but it is okay if you don't :-).

Finally the night manager is good as well, we came in late most nights and had great chats with him.

All in all a great place and we will come back - also you get a 10% discount when you come back.

Being fascinated by North African Muslim cultures, we've been trying to visit Morocco since 1975! The opportunity eventually presented itself, and after trawling through the vast number of riads and reviews here on TA and elsewhere, our minds were finally settled on this room at the “Three Kings” in Marrakech.

Although our EasyJet flight from Manchester was delayed by about two hours, the (arranged through the riad) transfer man was there, patiently waiting for us, and whipped us away to our home for the next four nights. We were so glad to have made this arrangement, as we would have really struggled to find the house otherwise; Marrakech medina is a rabbit warren of twisting and turning streets, many of which are only a metre or so wide!!!

Aidan, the English manager, welcomed us and we were in the room in no time. It's lovely! There are no hidden disappointments, and the pictures are true to life. We had ordered meals for our arrival, which were absolutely delicious and very filling, Saida the cook is very obliging and cooks the meals (which are heavy on meat content) to perfection! All the staff at the riad were very good, cheerfully providing pots of tea (tea, coffee and water are available all the time, without further charge) at all hours of the day or night, and exactly to my specification!

Being in the medina, Les Trois Mages is ideal for exploring this utterly fascinating area. Aidan provided us with a walking guide, who was very personable and spoke excellent English, and who took us through many tiny streets which were a hive of manufacturing activity. We would never have found these by ourselves, and thought the expense of the guide to be money well spent! Afterwards, we were able to find our way around the various souks which sprawled between the riad and the Djemaa El Fna without any difficulties. The walk took us about 25/30 minutes. Although it's only a half mile, we kept stopping to look in shops etc., and it was the middle of summer with the temperature reaching 49c!

The availability of a laptop in the lounge was a very useful addition, and the Internet connection was really quite fast. We need to have constant access to our emails for business purposes, and were delighted to not have to hump our own laptop through all the security checks at the various airports.

Although quite 'authentic' and traditional the room door locking and plumbing were rather quaint, possibly because of the historical French influence, but perfectly adequate. (In fact, you could have the shower jetting out hard enough to actually hurt, if you wanted to!) Hot water was constant and plentiful, as were the shower consumables, and the white towelling bath robes were well large enough to stretch around my 'ample' girth!

We had a look at the roof terrace and pool, which looked very welcoming and clean but were of no particular interest to us, although the other guests were making frequent use of these facilities.

All in all, I would not hesitate to highly recommend this riad, and the room we occupied (Melchior) to anyone visiting Marrakech. On future visits we would certainly like to stay here again.

This place is a amazing, we had a fantastic week here relaxing, after the buzzing vibes of Marrakech this was a welcome place to return too, Aiden the hotel manager was great extremly helpful, arranged for the taxi to and from the airport and walked us down to the square on our first night. The rest of the staff were great we loved this place would highly recommend a stay here if your going to Marrakech.

One tip - If you get lost in the Medina or even look remotly lost do not take the advice of the boys on the street who will take you the long way round and ask for money for the privledge.

Thaks Aiden and staff for making our holiday what it was. We will defiantly return and we're be bringing the kids with us next time. Peter and Sally

Room Tip: We stayed in the Melchoir room which was lovely and slept well every night but to be honest i think...

we had such a lovely time at Riad Les Trois Mages, Saida and Laila were wonderful, and so was Moushine. Aiden helped us out with booking restuarants etc, we ate in some wonderful places, we highly recommend Crystal at Pacha and Le Comptoir.

Hassan the taxi driver was such a brilliant character.

The Riad itself is lovely, we were lucky enough to stay there for a few days on our own as there were no other bookings, so had the roof terrace to ourselves. Saida made us lovely pizza for lunch, made from fresh!

our room was perfect, we were in the Melchior Room, we only had to open the doors take two steps out and we were in the courtyard where breakfast was served, our room was clean, spacious and it was lovely that you could just leave the door open and pull the netting across.

There are no faults to be found with this Riad and especially not with the staff, its such a laid back haven from the hectic and intense Marrakech outside the four walls, it was so nice to come in from the chaos into the tranquil, peaceful home from home, we have already recommended to a few of our friends and highly recommend anyone to stay there, its absolute bliss!

We stayed in the Riad for three nights. The Riad is peaceful and lovely, and the Bahia Suite was large and comfortable. By all means take up the Riad's offer on a taxi from the airport. The medina can be a bit daunting for first time visitors. Aiden was helpful on all details, and arranged a wonderful trip to the southern oases and Sahara which worked out very well. We had a very early departure before the normal breakfast hour, but they arranged breakfast for us nonetheless. The one unexpected thing to be aware of is that all the rooms open onto the courtyard, so you can hear some of what goes on below and in other rooms, and if your windows are open other guests can see into your room. This Riad is a very lovely place to stay.

Absolutely wonderful oasis. I have just returned from a stay at Riad Les Trois Mages with 12 friends and can say this was exceptional, I cannot fault this Riad and the wonderful staff in anyway. Their hospitality was outstanding and they cared for our every need and more. The staff and the Riad are wonderful, and we didn't want to leave. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed if you stay here.
Thankyou very much to everyone who made our stay at Riad Les Trois Mages, so perfectly wonderful.
