Marrakech is really extraordinary. Less than three hours from Nice and you are back to a 19th century medina with chic restos and clubs and ski resorts an hour away.

Our stay was brilliant and I must say we owe much of it to the owner and staff of Riad Hayati.. They provided us with absolutely first class service and care.

The riad is simply exquisite and we give it five stars.

We spent hours with guide books and Trip Advisor and finally settled on Riad Hayati. We are certainly glad we did. It's a real find, An absolutely charming haven of peace . The four bedrooms are extremely comfortable and soothingly decorated. All surround a central courtyard with marble fountain, palms and climbing jasmine. It's like something out of a dream.

All the reviews mentioned the service and it did not disappoint.. It is truly warm, personal and very efficient. It didn't take very long before we felt totally at home and very spoiled.

We've stayed at other riads in Morocco that were considerably more expensive, but frankly they did not measure up to Hayati.

Very many thanks to Ron ,Abdel and Mina for our wonderful Moroccan adventure.

We spent Easter week at Riad Hayati with our son and daughter and our parents. We rented the whole riad for a wonderful family holiday. We had stayed at the riad when it opened three years ago. We loved it then and we love it even more now.

The riad is so beautiful , elegant in an understated way with no flash or glitz. The credo is comfort and personal service. It seems effortless but Ron and his staff really know how to receive their guests. They have created a genuinely warm, inviting ambiance in a dream-like setting of tranquility and beauty.

We loved it and you will too.

We found Riad Hayati via Tripadvisor and used the owner's website to book direct. Ron responded quickly and gave us detailed advice on local restaurants and trips out of town. Everything you read on recent reviews is so true. The Hayati is an absolute gem and is the coolest place for decor and facilities but also it's a calm, tranquil and cool place to return to after the heat, hustle and bustle of Marrakech.

I thought we'd never find our way around the city but Hayati is easy to find, being so close to Bahia Palace and Tiskiwin museum, you'd never guess the delights behind the huge wooden door. After seven days we felt like locals, knowing the shortcuts through back alleys and knowing the street vendors. We stayed in the Riad's suite with own terrace and plunge pool and were very grateful to Abdel or Mina who would provide us with cool drinks on our return every afternoon or hot drinks at night. The temperatures dipped at sunset but this is no problem with well heated rooms, pashmina provided to keep me cosy as I gazed at the stars from the rooftop terrace. The suite has a huge downstairs bathroom next to a cool dressing room, no need to bring toiletries, slippers, robes etc. all are provided for you.

We usually eat out but having enjoyed Mina's welcome meal we couldn't resist eating twice more in the Riad, the food was a wonderful mix of Morroccan and French cuisine and the ambience of the dining room made each meal memorable. Abdel chose different relaxing music each evening, the courtyard has its own natural music from the songbirds and gently bubbling fountain.

All thanks have to go to Ron, (who we didn't meet, but who rang us after arrival to ensure we were happy), Abdel and Mina for their charming service and thoughfulness.

What an unforgettable little gem . I dare say this has got to be one of the most delightful places we have ever stayed at.

Ron ,the owner, is a charming erudite gentleman who regaled us with tales of his travels around Morocco and the Middle East. His hospitality is totally genuine. His staff, Mina and Abdel are absolute treasures, long time retainers who keep things running flawlessly. They constantly delighted us with thoughful little gestures and the warmest personal service we have ever experienced.

Our stay at Riad Hayati was pure heaven that we won't soon forget

We were on a short break to introduce the delights of Marrakech and surrounding countryside to some friends. And we had the best time imaginable. From the first impression of walking through part of the old city, along tiny streets, mayhem, smiling faces and then in through the door of Riad Hayati. To the peaceful courtyard with fountain, birds, beautiful trees and Abdel and Mina who staff the house. Our favourite resting place was the roof terrace with its sunbeds, views and curtained pergola where we sat , had a glass and watched the lightning, the sunset and storks. This is the only place to stay in Marrakech. But don´t tell anyone.

We recently stayed in the Riad Hayati as a party of 8 women for a friend's Birthday celebration.Several of our group had never been to Morroco before and were somewhat apprehensive about what to expect. They need not have been, as from the moment we arrived we were thoroughly pampered by the staff and totally made to feel at home in this beautiful Riad. The rooms, decor, and food were all excellent and were comparable , if not better than most 5* hotels. The only slight drawback was that the en suite facilities in some of the bedrooms were very "open plan" to the rest of the room, which could possibly be a problem depending who you were sharing with. There is however a seperate toilet downstairs. This in no way detracted from an otherwise excellent holiday. I would without hesitation recommend this Riad to anyone.
