“The comfort of a home with a 5 star service.”
Reviewed 5 May 2014

We recently came back from spending 6 nights at Riad Carina and we could not be happier with the service we got. Everything, from the transfer from the airport, to the way we were received was just perfect. Entering the patio area for the first time made us both feel like we had just entered a new world.

The Sahara room was great, the bed was comfy and the bathroom was well appointed and the shower pressure was fine (the shower head could be set a little higher though!). The breakfast we ate every morning was also very good and well thought out. Another extra was the mint tea we got served whenever we wanted which we could enjoy up at the terrace, lying down on the chaise-longs from which you can watch the storks (they have a fascinating ‘welcome home’ ritual that’s worth seeing!).

We would strongly recommend this Riad for whoever wants to experience what living in an old Moroccan home must have felt like, while being about 10/15 walk from the main square and within walking distance of some of the major sights in an area that, in spite of being very lively, it never really felt unsafe, even at 3 o'clock in the morning!

Extra mention goes to the young man who looked after us for almost our entire stay: not only he did a wonderful job but, also, he was genuinely happy to help us out. Huge kudos to him and to the rest of the staff from Riad Carina. Keep it up, you’re doing everything right!

If you like a alternative way to hostage is a good choice , once the hotel is craved in old buildings where ordinary people are around... bringing up and a good feeling to see the city truth and not the last hotel in Marrakesh i was where the mask of luxury covered it up

Location is amazing, really close (5 min walk) from Jemma Al Fna Square which is great to walk around in the evening, right next to the Badi palace (we could see the storks in their nests while eating breakfast on the rooftop terrace, brilliant start to the day) and walking distance from all of Marrakech's main attractions (palaces, museums, restaurants, etc.) The best part about coming back from a day of sight-seeing was the peaceful quiet of the beautiful riad (Moroccan style interiors with attention to the tiniest details, large comfortable rooms) after the hustle and bustle of the city. The staff here are all SO attentive and friendly, and always making sure we have everything we need, helping us out with directions/recommendations/any questions we had. The food was delicious as well, we had dinner at the riad on our third night in Marrakech and it was the best meal we ate all trip!
Absolutely amazing place, we hope to return here soon!

Room Tip: Ground floor is lovely and convenient, situated around the courtyard

We stayed here for our last night in Morocco and loved it. The staff are so friendly and organised a fantastic trip to the Ourika valley for us, without any hassle at all. Maria in particular is very kind and so helpful.

They arranged a roof top dinner for us which was a wonderful way to spend our final evening.

The Riad is a great cheaper alternative to Riad Viva, where we also stayed, as the only really difference is no roof top pool.

Definitely recommended.

We stayed in this wonderful oasis in the centre of Marrakech for two nights on the 9th and 19th April. Different rooms both very comfortable with excellent facilities and great value for money. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. It's a very short walk to Jemaa el Fna square and is right next to the El Badi Palace. With storks nesting on the surrounding rooftops it is a very pretty and relaxing spot.
Don't miss out on the evening meal is fabulous and the best food we ate during our stay in Morocco ! It's not cheap in comparison to some other restaurants but the quality and flavour are outstanding.
We would stay here again if we return to Marrakech and highly recommend this accommodation

Room Tip: The rooms on the upper levels are probably the best however our night in the room that opens onto th...

We stayed at Riad Carina in mid-March for 3 nights and were very happy with facilities and location. It's an easy 10 minute walk from Jemaa el Fna and the souks and the palaces and Saadian tombs are right on the door step.
The staff were warm and welcoming and the breakfast was hearty - perfect way to start the day!

The only thing that was a bit off-putting was that we were in a room on the ground floor with the entrance stepping directly out into the courtyard/dining area. Found it awkward on the first day but wouldn't put me off coming again.

A great location and a real surprise, a real touch of Morocco. A very easy stroll to the heart of the old city. We were made so welcome by a warm and friendly staff, only to willing to help in very way they could. Enjoy some mint tea on the rooftop terrace, a very relaxing place after walking around the city. If you are looking a reasonably priced accommodation Visit the Riad Carina and you won't be disappointed.
