WE had 4 days here as part of a two centre break. We knew the reviews were good, but it exceeded our expectations on all levels. The rooms are lovely. All individually decorated with moroccan textiles, ceramics, wood, metal. and leatherwork, with rich evocative colours. The staff are tireless, constantly cheerful and friendly. The roof terrace offers magnificent views across the city and is a perfect place for peace and tranquil calm from the urgent activity down below among the souks. I know it's already been said but Catherine the Riad owner and host is constantly helpful and friendly. Breakfast each morning on the terrace is an event in itself. The food is lovely, but it's the calmness of the morning, either in sun or shade that sets your day up. . We also had a terrific Lamb Tagine dinner there one night. The Riad courtyards offer a cool calm retreat if it gets too hot as you sit among the trees and bamboos. My wife, daughter and boyfriend felt this place was one of the highlights of the whole holiday. I cannot recommend it enough. !!

Room Tip: WE stayed at Jasmine on the ground floor and my daughter was in Jasmine, both lovely, but they are a...

Great location, friendly staff, good food, elegant rooms what's not to like.

Apart from a small problem with our arrival plans , which Catherine sorted out effortlessly , there was NOTHING that we could fault.

Always an entirely comfortable stay with friendly staff and impressive attention to décor, a real flavour of the finer things in the old town of Marrakech. I'd rather not write a review at all but since asked I could hardly say no.

Nothing posed a problem to Catherine and her staff - starting with us having to change our booked days as we were unable to cross the mountains due to snow. We ended up breaking our stay into two time periods and were welcomed each time.
The riad is located in an outer alley of the medina and the medina itself is clean and bright.
The riad is converted from two traditional houses and is constructed around both inner courtyards - one having a small pool. It is filled with light and openness and a home-made delicious breakfast is served on the terrace. A wood fire heated the interior sitting room each night.
The room was well appointed and heated comfortably with a hot water radiator. Delicious pastries and fresh fruit and water was provided.

Riad Zouina is an oasis of calm and tranquility a few minutes from the souks and Jemaa el Fna. This was our first stay in Marrakech and we would not hesitate to return. Our room was superb and Catherine and her team of girls were welcoming, kind and thoughtful; Catherine took time with us to run through a map of the City and to recommend restaurants, places to vist and to avoid! Breakfast was served on the roof terrace, where you can also enjoy a cold beer while taking in the view of the medina and the Atlas mountains in the distance. Catherine and her husband are good company and nothing is too much truoble for them. I am sure we will be joining the many reviewers who regularly return to the Road Zouina.

I don't know why I am sharing this with other people - I want to keep it all for myself! This was my third visit and my second this year. This place is perfect in every way. Right in the medina and minutes from the souks. The rooms are delightful and so comfortable. Fresh flowers, fruit, pastries and a new bottle of water every day. Lots of hot water and thick fluffy towels. Catherine and Maurice are superb hosts and make you feel so welcome. They are, in fact, sharing their home with you. Their loyal staff are like family. I never want to stay anywhere else when I am in Marrakech.

Room Tip: I loved our room 'Iris' but the only slight drawback was that it is near the front door and...

I was a bit hesitant to book this riad because there were not recent reviews. How can one feel confident when there are so many Marrakech choices? Zouina turned out to be beyond perfect. It underwent a renovation enhancing it's elegant ambiance. Three salons and ten bedrooms make for plenty of privacy and quiet all decorated with Moroccan antiques and Berber carpets. Catherine, the English speaking French owner is a detail person and she was always so pleased to help with anything. This means your stay will be ideal. It's immaculate, plenty of hot water, embroidered linens, thick towels. Charming terrace where breakfast is served amid bougainvillea, potted palms and jasmine climbing trellises has a view of the Koutoubia Mosque and Atlas mountains. Breakfast begins with crepes, then coffee or tea, yogurt, cake, fruit, toast, eggs if you want and spreads. Enough for us till dinner. We stayed in the room named Douria with a wooden ceiling complete with a colored glass windowed domed cupola. Very special. Bottled water and bouquets seemed to be room standards. The pool with jacuzzi jets, like most pools in Marrakesh, is al temprano. The home is a cool tranquil respite from the frenzied medina. It's a seven minute easy to remember walk to Fna. We had one meal of salads which were delicious. Easy to find. Less than ten minutes from the train station.

Room Tip: Choose Douria, itLs a special treat.
