I stayed at the Riad Noir d’Ivoire with my girlfriend for 7 nights, and it is was nothing like I had ever experienced before, it exceeded and was beyond any expectations I had - we had such a wonderful stay and it truly is an amazing place!

Even before we got there, Afaf, Rebecca and Mourad were brilliant at answering emails with any questions or queries we had – they were very accommodating even before we got there.

The airport pick up was smooth, and we were met by one of the housekeeping staff to take our luggage to the riad in the heart of the medina. After walking through the alleys of the medina not knowing that this hidden gem was just the other side of the wall, we went in and were taken aback by how beautiful the place was, it really is breathtaking, the riad’s décor is stunning!

We were greeted by Afaf, who offered us any drink we wanted and warmly welcomed us. It was personal and a lovely way to be welcomed into the Riad.

We had dinner at the riad the evening we arrived and all the food was delicious.

We stayed in a number of different rooms during our stay, and all were luxurious and beautiful. The Panther suite was breathtaking, an absolutely amazing suite, and I would highly recommend it. The housekeeping staff were brilliant at moving all our things throughout our stay, and I would like to say thank you so much to them again!

The service is outstanding throughout, it feels so personal and you never have to lift a finger! Rebecca, Afaf and Mourad will always stop to have a chat and would accommodate your every need. They were very helpful with recommendations and advice. Every room had a personal mobile phone which you could take out of the riad with you and call any of the staff when needed – a brilliant idea and just one example of the wonderful service. Overall, I’d never experienced service like it before! The hospitality was just excellent.

All the staff were brilliant and very accommodating and friendly, and so welcoming. I can’t praise them highly enough.

We were able to have breakfast at any time we wanted and anywhere in the riad, including on our private rooftop terrace when we were in the Panther suite, which was wonderful. The breakfasts were exquisite. Having dinner on the terrace was also amazing. I organised a couple of surprises both before and during the trip and all the staff were brilliant and helping set everything up – I can’t thank them enough.

We used the hammam and spa treatments which were fantastic. The heated pool and the gym were also excellent.

We would highly recommend this Riad. It is amazing and so romantic, it really is a stunning place. Thank you to everybody again. We never wanted to leave and we were really sad to say goodbye! We can’t wait to go there again one day.

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful, but go for one of the suites as the private rooftop terrace with heated...

Although we had seen pictures of the Riad Noir d'Ivoire online, we weren't prepared for how stunningly beautiful it was! Deceptively plain on the outside, once you walked in it was fabulous!
The ambience was warm and welcoming even though the furnishings were sumptuous.
Our room 'Le Chameau' was spacious and comfortable - a fire of olive wood in the grate and the most enormous bed!
The staff were attentive without being fussy and catered for all our needs - even organising trips for us.
We found the maps and suggestions made to us by our host very helpful, enabling us to make the most of our ventures into the souks and sightseeing.
We loved our 6 nights there and have happy memories of a delightful stay.
Only one question remains - when can we return?

Room Tip: All the rooms are great - spoilt for choice!

This was our first accomodation in Morocco on a 3 week trip all over the country. We tried to stay at the top-rated riad/guesthouse in each location and this riad is honestly the best we found in the entire country. As you likely know, it is gorgeous, luxurious and in a great location (a quiet corner in the middle of the activity). What I would like to highlight however is the professional and customized service. We found the staff and management team extremely personable and friendly and willing to help with anything, all the while being authentic and not fake when asking us how we were doing. We asked for a car rental - done, asked for nightclub recommendations - done, asked for needle and thread - done. The riad has a few outstanding features:
-cell phone to use while you are a guest - available to call for assistance in or out of the riad 24/7
-breakfast that is delicious and available at anytime YOU request it (not time restrictions)
-map and overview of how to find things in town - simple and extremely helpful (not as common in Morocco as you would expect)
-staff who are multiligual and truly fluent
-no need to worry about payments, signing bills, etc until final check out
-the donkey Couscous to bring your luggage to and from the Riad is a perfect (and unique) touch - families/romantics take note.
-the riad cats are a cute Morroccan addition - much friendlier and available than even at the Cat Cafe in Paris.

We wanted to mention that our time each morning with the Managers Rebecca and Afaf, who come to see how you are doing while sitting down and having a cappuccino with you very enjoyable and valuable. What a unique experience to just 'chat' - it felt natural and basically like staying with friends. The only request that I would add of the riad is to consider adding hair conditioner to the bath amentities. Otherwise - it was a pleasure and we would love to return again.

Room Tip: Consult the riad website for photos of the rooms - they are all unique.

We stayed at Noire d'Ivoire last week for 4 nights in the Elephant suite. We used the Riads car service from the airport, which was very prompt, and then the added bonus of being dropped off inside the walls of the Medinah, to be met by two employees and Cous Cous the Raids donkey, who took outer suitcases and led us through the maze that is marrakech.

Upon arrival we were met by Rebecca, who is the GM, where we had a nice drink and we're told about the nuances of Marrakech and what's what in the Riad.

Our room was beautiful, with a 4 poster bed, and beautiful bathroom all very clean and comfortable. We dumped our gear and headed out to the souks, having lunch at Cafe Arab which was a recommendation by Rebecca and was just what we wanted after an early start that morning.

Everything about the Riad is first class, it isn't cheap by marrakech standards, but you get what you pay for, and just outstanding service and a brilliant location, and the most amazing Mojito's. We have travelled all over the world and stayed in some beautiful places, but Noire D'Ivoire has to be one of the best, the whole package is just right, and the Riads team are just amazing, and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is whenever you want it, all fresh and very tasty, especially nice to have it on the roof and enjoy the views of the Atlas Mountains.

All the recommendations for restaurants were spot on, and Rebecca really takes great pride in helping you to navigate the city, and the right places to go based upon what you wants to do. We had great, lunches at cafe Arab, Kozy bar, and our favourite was le Jardin a short stagger from the Riad. They have great food and a really relaxed terrace area where your seating doubles up as your sun bed.

We also had a massage at the Riad which was amazing.

All in all, I struggle to think of any place in the world where we have been made to feel so comfortable, and special. One not to be missed.

There aren't many places you stay where just about everything works well. From the warm welcome we received from Rebeca to the fantasticly warm swimming pool, this is a perfect place to stay. The food was wonderful, the staff very accommodating and ever present without being intrusive. The Riad was spotless and had a the atmosphere of a well run, relaxed and sumptuous family home. The location is great and really easy to navigate to the main attractions, after a map session with the staff. We stayed in the Chameau suite and had a fire lit every night. The Hammam was sublime and definitely recommended along with a visit to the jardins majorelle and Azar for dinner.

Room Tip: Book a transfer - it's very efficient and eat breakfast on the roof

We were so delighted with our stay that we decided to write our first review on TripAdvisor.

Riad Noir D'Ivoire is a complete oasis. The staff are wonderful and caring, and the decor is stylish, warm and uniquely Morrocan.

For a long-weekend away from Paris, we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. And, having never been to Marrakech, we couldn't have asked for higher quality service and attention, right from the airport pickup.

When we arrived at the riad, we were greeted by Mourad, who cared for our every need over the course of our stay. Over complimentary drinks and a tour of this magnificent riad, he counseled us on everything we needed to know about Marrakech. He made us feel completely at home. He was an incredible host, who always made himself available to us. Nothing was too much trouble for him. No matter what time of day or night, he was there to assist us.

We later met Rebeca, who was an equally incredible hostess. Like Mourad, she assisted us with all our needs, at all hours, including specialised local expertise on everything we needed to make our experience more unique. She was equally amazing.

Daily, this team was there to ensure that our days and nights were filled with the best that Marrakech has to offer. Being in a new city, this personalized service made all the difference for us. Even small things had an impact, like providing us with a local mobile phone for our stay, with their contact details to assist us 24/7.

We've stayed in a lot of hotels around the world but we've never experienced this level of service anywhere.

We will definitely stay here again and we will be recommending it to all our friends.

A wonderful experience all around.
