“The perfect stay!!! Stunning from start to finish.”
Reviewed 16 April 2014 via mobile

My husband and I have just returned from a 4 night stay at Riad Noir D'Ivoire and I can truly say that it is one of the most beautiful, well staffed hidden gems I ve ever known! From booking to arriving all communications with staff were top quality and they would do everything to make our stay perfect - and perfect it was! When we arrived we were greeted by cous cous the donkey who carried our cases through a short walk of winding alleyways until we reached the riad door. Well- no matter how much you ve researched this place( and I did!) - you will still be taken aback with absolute beauty and tranquility of the riad. We stayed in the Zebre suite which was stunning and complete with a private roof terrace which made the suite that extra bit special.
The breakfasts and other food which could be taken at anytime and in any place were gorgeous! I could go on about the riad for a long time but it's so much more magical experienced for yourself!
The beauty of the riad is complimented perfectly with the team of fantastic, genuinely caring, professional and attentive staff. Nothing was too much trouble. We were given a mobile phone for contact 24 hours a day and Hassan was on hand for anything we desired, from restaurant recommendations to organising reservations and an in house hamman and massage which too was lovely! A big thank you to Hassan and his team for making our trip one to remember. Perfect! We miss u all already and will be back!

Went here recently to celebrate my sister's 50th birthday - and although our expectations were quite high due to the price we were very impressed. It didn't feel like staying at a hotel / riad at all as we didn't have to sign for anything and we were always spoken to by name. We ate there the first night and they set the library up for just our party of 4, it all felt very special and private. The decor is sumptuous and there seems to be more staff than guests. Our Junior Suite was beautiful although if I had one criticism there was no full length mirror. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay and would recommend to anyone.

I've stayed in top class hotels on several continents, and this Riad is in a class of its own. The grounds and rooms are fabulous, a welcome oasis in the Medina. The staff are impeccable, Rebecca is an absolute riot, and they all make you feel as though the Riad is your home. I can and will go on, but if you don't want to read the whole review, just know that this Riad is a sure bet; you will not be disappointed.

Some highlights/tips:

You get a local cell phone linked to your room. This can be used as a hotel phone to call room service, etc, but can also be used around town for any needs. This is especially helpful in the busy and confused Medina. Why don't more hotels do this? An amazingly simple idea that makes a huge difference.

The pool is heated and both the winter garden and summer garden are fabulously relaxing. Bottled water throughout your stay is gratis. Some of the rooms have roof terraces and jacuzzis, splurge! You won't regret it. Eat in the Riad at least one night, the food is great.

I'm sure I could find more to rave about, but I'd rather you discover on your own.

Room Tip: Guepard is my new home away from home.

This place is beyond amazing. From start to finish the experience is truly Moroccan and truly extraordinary.

The staff including Madame Rebeca are dedicated to pure guest satisfaction. The home cooked food available from Mama was better than anything else we could find in the city. The couscous with meats and the olive chicken Tagine put us over the moon. Breakfast was divine as well.

The beautiful central courtyard with pool, the well appointed gym, and the interior furnishings were luxurious. Many places to sit and nestle in front of a fireplace or other private oasis.

What a wonderful place to stay in Marrakech and one not to be missed! You must!

After a very long journey from California, we were immediately rejuvenated by the service and splendor of Riad Noir D'Ivoire. We did much research before picking this Riad as there are many beautiful ones but do not hesitate one bit and be sure to book Riad Noir d'Ivoire if you want a special experience. We have traveled the world and can truly say this place exceeds places several times the cost. We were whisked from the airport to the Riad in less than 20 minutes and then led directly to the Riad. Rebecca and Hassan greeted us and made us feel so welcome as if it were our own home. I have always felt that genuine service and caring for guests is a huge ingredient to how one feels about a visit and Noir d'Ivoire excels! Rebecca and Hassan sat us down right away and gave us the lay of the land as we enjoyed a glass of champagne. Rebecca was a wealth of knowledge and seemed to be a human guide book pointing out not only the best places to go but the optimal times to visit. The Riad is very lucky to have Rebecca as well as Hassan and the rest of the staff.

But the experience does not end there as the ambiance is simply stunning and the website, although beautiful, does not give the place justice. The common area was stunning with water
features, amazing rooftop deck, beautiful Moroccan lighting, several sitting areas and a great relaxing pool area. Our room, The Elephant Room, had a great sitting area, beautiful bathroom with large tub, sitting area, fireplace and a balcony overlooking the main part of the Riad. I could go on and on but many previous reviews have similar details but just keep in mind that if you consider a visit to Marrakech, Riad Noir D'Ivoire cannot be matched.

We stayed at the riad for 4 nights during our visit to Marrakech in March.

The riad is located in the quiet old part of Marrakech and while may not be easy to find at first (don't rely on Google!) the riad provides with their own map which, together with extensive and daily suggestions and explanations, makes exploring the city a breeze. They also provide a mobile phone should you get lost in the city and need help finding your way out.

We stayed in one of the gorgeous suites, which came complete with a terrace with a hot tub and a fire place as well as the usual amenities you'd expect to find in a five star accommodation. The decor throughout the riad is very nicely done - make sure to visit the shop where they sources most of their furniture from - an attraction in Marrakech in its own right!

Do make sure you try out their hammam and spa, which was the perfect start to our stay. The dinner is also served with different dishes cooked according to your taste and is a good alternative to going out.

The biggest draw of this riad, however, is the staff - they made our stay truly unforgettable. Rebecca made us feel at home and provided invaluable information of places to see and things to do. Afaf and Hassan were also always there to make sure we were happy with everything and the rest of the staff were very friendly, including of course the house cats and Cous Cous the donkey.

We would not look any further next time we plan a trip in Marrakech - it was perfect!
