We stayed twice, going through Marrakech to and from Essaouira. Barbi's place is spotless and attractively furnished. A basic Moroccan breakfast is included, and it was well prepared. Price is very good, especially for the quality. And location is almost perfect for doing the souk and the Medina.
Barbi is well acquainted with the tourist side of Marrakech and is amazingly helpful; her assistant is equally helpful and efficient. Between them they have several languages, though not including much English. (However, as between my wife, my son and I we have one, with just smatterings of French and Spanish, they are way ahead of the game.) In our e-communications this was handled easily via a free online translation service, and in person patience and goodwill gets the job done
There is even a bus route that comes in handy, if you do not want to walk all the way to the sites on the far side of the jemaa el fnaa, and Barbi will order up a taxi for you if you need/prefer it, amd this can come as far as the head of the alley.. (You pay the taxi, not Barbi. Forget about asking to use the meter. Be prepared to haggle a little and still to pay the foreign tourist rate -- meaning way too much vs. the metered cost -- but, hey, after all you're a foreign tourist who has elected to use a taxi rather than your feet or a bus, so roll with it,)
Our arrival/departure times were well outside the check-in/check-out times, but there was not problem with (or charge for) leaving our bags while we went out to explore. Also, unusual for Morocco, Barbi has put a small sign at the intersection of her alley and the street from which it runs (about 8' up, visible when you are coming from the direction of the souk/bus stop) -- a definite help.
All in all, a excellent place to stay in Marrakech.
