“Beautiful Riad with Excellent Service”
Reviewed 3 February 2014 via mobile

Prior to our holiday, I researched several Riads before choosing Les Jardins Mandaline as it looked perfect. After a wonderful week there it was as perfect as it looked! Nicole and her team look after you like family. The Riad is beautifully decorated with a lovely warm pool and a sun terrace which is a real sun trap. We liked that evening meals could be prepared at request, and ended up eating here 5 nights out of 7 as the food was excellent. Beer and wine is also available which isn't always the case in Riads. We had a wonderful Moroccan rose wine. It is only a ten minute walk to the Jemaa el Fnaa square but do find this for the first time in the daylight. We got totally lost the first evening in the dark, but it was very easy the following morning! I recommend using Nicole's transfer from the airport, as vehicles cannot get all the way to the riad, and although it is only a short walk, if you were just left by a taxi driver, it could be hard to find. The Riad is staffed 24 hours a day so feels very safe, Muhammed and Siad look after you very well in the evening with food and drinks. Thanks again for a wonderful week.

This place is a treasure. Clean, stylish and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. Not so much a swimming pool as a bathing pool but warm and welcome after a day in the souks. The location is close to taxis etc and the main square is a pleasant 10 mins walk through the market streets. The museum is also close. We would recommend using the taxi service that they provide to get from the airport as it would not be easy to find first time around. Several good restaurants and cafes nearby including the Cafe Arabe and La Terrasse Ben Yousef. The Riad food and wine was lovely too. We also took a trip out which they organised for us - with a sensible driver. We'll be going back to this Riad one day soon!

As a solo traveler in Marrakech for two months I have stayed in several Riad hotels. A friend told me about Riad Les Jardins Mandaline and I booked a room for myself immediately. I was there a total of 8 days/nights during my last week and it is was outstanding!

The staff, and owners were all monumentally friendly and helpful. I was alone in my travels living with a slight disability therefore had several special requests. I was never EVER made to feel like I was inconveniencing anyone.

The building is beautiful and well kept, very clean. The rooms are all themed and very quite.

The staff chef was one of the best that I've experienced in the city!

I have mixed feelings about the location: it's conveniently located in a medina's alley but the neighborhood is dodgy.
I also found stressful to stay in the medina: vendors trying to grab your arm all the time, locals pretending that they want to help you to ask you for money or take you to their shops, motorbikes, confusing streets...
The hotel staff is extremely attentive and welcoming. The owner, Nicole, is very nice too.
Our room, tiziri, was comfy and very clean.
Good breakfast: fresh bread and cake, Moroccan pancake, orange juice, coffee and tea.
It also has a very nice rooftop where you can relax.
I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons:
1- during our stay there was a family with 3 small children that took over the hotel. They acted as if they were at home. Kids were always yelling and listening to very loud music. Wearing pajamas and once running naked in the lobby area.
I was feeling sick, I got a cold, and i couldn't rest because it was always very noisy.
2- no credit or debit card payments. Cash only.
This would be a wonderful place to stay during the warm months.

Room Tip: Tiziri was a good room, small but comfy

First I would recommend everyone Xmas in marrakech. 5 star experience. So, the riad. Good, but not great. The great thing are the staff. Nice, friendly people. Really helpful at every hour. The riad itself is nice, calm and with a great roof terrace. The riad is situated in the middle of the medina.
Some drawbacks are small rooms, no sound isolation, lousy Internet connection and hotwater coming and going.
Overall a pleasant experience.

This raid is a very comfortable hotel with a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. The staff are helpful and friendly and the food is excellent. It was a great place to return to after the hustle and bustle of the souks. I really appreciated not having to worry about finding the raid on arrival as they organise transfers to and from the airport and despite the fact it is pretty hidden down a couple of alley ways it is easy to find especially as they give you a map and after a day or so you get your bearings. I would definitely return here again.

Gilly and I stayed for a week! We had the most phenomenal vacation. Nicole and her staff, in particular, Mohamed and Saaied took excellent care of our every need. The riad is only a short walk from the Jmaa El Fna square. Once you find your bearings, navigating through the narrow streets is easy. Don't worry about getting lost...it's part of the fun and the locals are happy to give directions for free.

Room Tip: Don't take the cheapest room if you need space. We stayed in the Dellah Room and it was large e...
