My husband and I booked a private Morocco best Sahara tour 4 days from Marrakech to Fes. We enjoyed it very much. Our driver Mohamad was a nice and friendly guy. He gave a lot of information about Morocco. The car was very comfortable and clean during the journey.
Youssoufi whom is the coordinator was very prompt in my e mail and he is very friendly.
I highly recommend Mohamad and his company.

We went to Europe and decided to have a side trip to Northern Africa to explore Morocco. Best decision ever. I have to say that the Sahara topped all the places we visited because of the great service and great driver that this company has provided.

Although it was Ramadan and almost everything was closed, our driver and guide, Abdel Ali ("Ali") made everything better. Ali is my most favourite tour guide during our Europe-Africa trip. He is very fluent in English, and we did not have any difficulty understanding each other. He knew the roads like the back of his hand, and we felt safe during all the long drives from the airport to our kasbah, the Sahara and back.

We went to Rose Valley and stayed for one night. We were rewarded a Moroccan rising moon, the view from our room, which was nothing short of magical. We had a Berber dinner and danced and played drums with the kasbah staff. Yusofi, our contact with whom the organizer of our trip coordinated, even dropped by. There is hot shower, which was a plus.

The long drive to Merzouga desert was okay because Ali was very entertaining. You just have to chat him up a bit. Ali taught us Berber words and assured us whenever we felt uncertain (regarding safety, the crowds in Marrakech, etc.) Ali has been on the job for six years which is I think why he was very efficient. He showed us Dades Gorges, and always made sure to stop at fantastic views, including the Atlas mountains. He even paid for us when we did not have dirhams. He became our very own Ali Bank! (But of course we paid him back after changing currencies! :D)

The ride to the camp was spectacular. You get to experience the camel ride and appreciate the jaw-dropping and life-changing scenery of the sand dunes. (Make sure to tip the camel herders). We stayed at the Desert Luxury Camp for 2 nights. The star-studded sky is UNBELIEVABLE. For photographers and those who love taking pictures, bring your best cameras. Mobile phones will not do. The Sahara deserves better.

The accommodations were excellent. The blankets and comforters were thick, perfect for the Sahara coldness at night.

The staff were very warm and accommodating. Mourad, the cook, made an excellent three-course meal. He also took us sandboarding, a must Merzouga experience. He is a fun driver, who drives while listening to his African music playlist. Mehdi, (Chagaga) who serves the food, knowledgeably described what was on the plate, which made the food even more pleasing to the palate.

After dinner they set up a bonfire and played Berber music for us. Nassir, who is excellent in English, taught us how play the drums and promised to teach us the camel dance. We had so much fun singing, sharing stories and Berber culture, played guitar until way past midnight.

The next day, Ali, ready as always, drove us back to Marrakesh. He stopped for scenic views, we explored the city, the souk and the medina. Ali also took us to a place where they served Berber pizza and spicy (cinnamon) coffee and visited the Gnaoa Khamlia to listen to their ancestral nomad music. Despite not being able to eat during the day because of the Ramadan, Ali was still efficient and full of energy. If you will go there during Ramadan, please make sure that Ali (or any Muslim driver) can pray at times that he has to.

Ignoring his tiredness and hunger, Ali even hiked with me (a good 500 metres from the road) to the Game of Thrones filming location at Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (where I think Daenerys Targaryen released her dragons). It seemed selfish of me but he was more than willing.

We had a hard time parting ways with our trusty driver. We experienced separation anxiety from Ali at the airport. Ali and the desert crew made the Marrakech-Sahara experience wonderful for us. If only we could bring him home, we would!

I will definitely recommend this company to anyone who wants to experience an affordable Morocco experience.

Our group decided to visit Morocco in between our travel around Portugal and Spain. After much research, we decided to make the trip to Sahara even though reviews say the travel will take about 14+ hours from Marrakesh. We locked in a perfect itinerary where we will be sleeping in Rose Valley on the first night, about 2/3 of the way to Sahara. After breakfast, we continued onto Merzouga (entry point to Sahara Desert) and spent 2 nights in the luxury camp. By day 4, we are travelling back to Marrakesh which took about 11 hours (only).

The drive is all worth it, the experience is one-of-a-kind and the people who helped us will truly be remembered.

We chose Morocco Best Sahara Tours not only because of the price but mainly because Yousouffi, the owner/manager, was very responsive, patient and very much willing to cater to our 'modified' itinerary. It also helped that one of his staff, Marian, was Filipino and made the communication and negotiations a lot smoother. More importantly, our guide, Ali (Abdelali) was perfect to say the least. He picked us up on time at the airport, from there he brought us to fast food for a quick bite, never ran out of stories and tidbits about the sights we passed by, took us to the recommended tea and food stops --- all with enthusiasm and never with a complain considering it was Ramadan. We felt it was painstaking for him to drive the length without being able to eat or drink (during fasting period) but his energy and hospitality were unwavering. TIP: Look at the calendar before booking and try to avoid Ramadan period for the sake of the driver :) And for you to be able to share meals, drinks, cigarettes, etc. and party with your guide and the locals in the camp. :)

Sahara Desert is truly BREATHTAKING. The charm is very authentic with all the camels, fine sand, and sun's rays reflecting on it. A visit to Sahara should be made at least once in your life. Morocco Best Sahara Tours is very much recommended if you want a hassle-free, safe and complete Sahara Desert experience.

This tour is one of the best travel experiences we've ever had. Our driver, Ali (Abdalali), made it a 5-star rating. His service was above and beyond! The top-notch customer service is something I've never experienced in a long time. This is easily number one on my list. We were greeted by Ali at the airport and he took care of us for the next 4 days. Everything, from the food, the hotel, camp, the site stops, store recommendations, stories about the culture/sites, and restaurant recommendations, was perfect! Our driver, Ali, was even so kind to lend us his own money when we ran out of dirham currency. We were treated like friends. Our driver, Ali, even checked on us several times after the tour, when we were already in Marrakech. He wanted to make sure that we were safe. I cannot express enough how much I appreciated the care that we felt from this tour company. If you decide to (and you should) pick this company for a Sahara tour, I would suggest that you ask for Ali. You will not regret it.

This tour taught us so much about the culture of the Moroccan people, especially the Amazigh, who are the original inhabitants of northern Africa. Our driver, Abdul, was the highlight of our tour. He was knowlegeable, fluent in English, an extremely capable driver, and always had our safety and comfort at the foremost in his mind. We left Fes and drove south to the Merzuga Dunes (also known as the Erg Chebbi Dunes). Abdul stopped at a number of panoramic and interesting places throughout the day's drive. We arrived in time to ride the camels to the tents with our proper headdress for the sandy winds (be sure to bring wrapaound sunglasses to protect your eyes). The overnight stay in the tents was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, especially the singing and drums after dinner. After leaving the Merzouga area, we traveled through Todra Gorges and had an exquisite lunch at Auberge Restaurant La Petite Gorge. Our overnight stay in the Rose Valley was nice and we had an opportunity to meet Youssoufi, who was our contact with Morocco Best Sahara Tours. From start to finish, Youssoufi was very responsive to all inquiries and answered every question in a very timely manner. Our final day was exhilarating as we navigated the Atlas Mountains after passing through Ouarzazate and stopping to hike to the top of Ait Benhaddou. Throughout every step of this tour, Abdul was a wonderful guide and, by the end, he was part of our family. It was with tears in our eyes that we bade him farewell, knowing that we would continue to communicate with him forever. You will be super-satisfied if you book this adventure with Morocco Best Sahara Tours.
