A nice choice for something a little special at a reasonable price. We stayed only one night but were pleased with the look of the place, the location, the staff and the breakfast. It was easy to find and good value for money, had lovely hot showers and a clean bathroom. Beautiful decor and three terraces to choose from, one covered for those wet days, all with nice views. Definately worth a stay if you are in Meknes.

The location is great, just in the earth of the Medina. The hotel decoration is fantastic and the terrace very pleasant. Very good breakfast. Staff were kind and helpful.

-
The bathroom was not very clean and some of the utilities were broken. The bed matrices were very hard and not too comfortable.

For the price, Riad Hiba was a great choice. We stayed 3 nights. The staff was helpful with advice, but didn't have a map, nor were they able to arrange a tour or help us find a taxi. The room was fine, but nothing special. The air-conditioning didn't work well. The bathroom was typically Moroccan with no shower walls, just a hand held shower head. If you are looking for all the conveniences of home, you wont' find them here, but if you want an economical, clean Moroccan experience I would recommend it.

We stayed here one night in Meknes on our way to Voloubillis (ancient roman ruins). I would say that the decor and architectural intricacies in the Riad and in the rooms were very fascinating and eye catching (Moorish architecture with Persian color scheme).

The room and the bathroom as such were on the smaller side. Didn't bother too much about it as we were there for only one night. Breakfast was also complimentary!

I stayed here with a friend of mine for 2 nights and we were very impressed with the place. The decor is beautiful and our room was small but comfortable. it was the cheapest accommodation in Meknes that we could find, however this is not reflected in the quality! the man who ran the place (can't remember his name now) was very friendly and we were given complimentary tea and shisha. the breakfast was tasty and was served on the roof terrace so we could enjoy it in the sun. The roof terrace was absolutely beautiful, a lovely place to chill out in the evenings and to practice yoga in the morning!
As we were there in June it was very hot, however the rooms were cool, despite the fact that there was no air con. It is worthwhile to note that there is a riad just opposite riad hiba which has a gorgeous swimming pool which non-guests can use for just €5... we really appreciated this in the heat!
Hiba is located very close to the main square and the indoor market in Meknes.... In conclusion, i really cannot fault the place!

We started our holiday in Meknes and must say that this riad was a great place to begin. It was so beautiful and traditional. We loved the way the owner had decorated the entire riad and it couldn`t have been more perfect. Breakfast was served on the roof of the riad overlooking the town of Midelt. It was also a very central location being in the medina, but also really quiet. If you are looking to stay in Meknes I would highly recommend this place and its friendly owner.

+: Wonderful terrace, nice staff, beautiful in every way, cheap, close to Bab Mansour, clean.
-: No AC in the lower floor rooms, very hot during the summer night. No credit card when we were there.
Overall, a nice, cheap and typical place to stay in Meknès.

Room Tip: Do not take a room on the first floor: no ac, and too close from reception.
