I'm solo low-budget traveler. This is not a place, where you could stay usually, but I was lucky to be able to stay (I got it as a last resort place to stay, huh). I have to mention, that this is not ordinary place: very silent, stylish traditional moroccan-french environment (the landlady is french), food is nicely prepared and served, very minimalistic/essential only for those who wants to stay (as I mentioned - usually it is restaurant only).

NOTE: place is very very particular: stylish (like museum for me), but very silent (might be bit uncomfortable for someone). If you want to have some moroccan show, better don't go here!!! But if you want silent, friendly, intimate environment - very very good place to go.

Thanks Sabrina!

Vanessa came to get us from our Riad, she was very friendly and helpful for her food and her place but for a lot of facts and informations about Meknes. The food was good, the camel tajine was delicious, the lamb was good but not so tender. She took the time to bring us home after. That is a nice touch and that is why this restaurant is a really nice pace to go, eat and learn.

After reading all these great reviews we tried to find this restaurant at Meknes medina. After several fails we paid a local guy to take us there. When we arrived, we discovered that they preparing for hosting a big group of french visitors. Hovwever they seated us at the very tiny coffee table, which was on the way to the storage room, so our friend was constantly being disturbed by the waiters. The service was weird and unfriendly. There was no menu card and you could choose only between 2 tagines. We had to ask separately for the vegetarian food. We had to wait too long for the food, which was at the end norhing special. We had three times better food experience at the street restaurants in Fez. Conclusion: too high price for nothing.

We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wishing for top quality food which is exquisitely prepared. Sabrina is an elegant host who obviously shares her passion with food and life openly. We met her by chance on our first day after a stressful trip from Casablanca and she engaged us so much that we had tea at her restaurant the next day and finally had dinner there on the third night.
Thank you Sabrina you have added to our wonderful memories of Meknes.

Went to the place after reading all the reviews with my newly wedded Moroccan bride. It was a bit tough finding the place. But was worth it. The ambiance makes you feel you have traveled back in time to a medieval era and treated like a king by Sabrina. Sabrina provided recommendations of what we should eat and personally took the order. We had the lamb tajine and camel meat tajine. Both were excellent. The lamb was tender and very succulent. The treatment you receive and the food you get is worth every penny. I highly recommend DAR Sabrina to anyone who visits Meknes.
