Located in the old town, it is definately worth a look. The imposing structure has intricate inscriptions located in l'Hadime area. The area around the gate is also very interesting. The gate located across the old Medina where lots of traditional Moroccan craft is available.

Its an impressive sight and a must see for Meknes. There's a very busy road in front of it though so you'll have to be quick with the pictures

This is the largest gate in Morocco and the 2nd largest gate in all of Africa. It´s a very interesting spot to take a few pictures and not far from some other attractions. There´s a nice plaza across the street and a very good spot also, the food market with a lot of flavours, colors and smells. Souks are nearby as well!

So it´s a quick stop, don´t need to spend too much time here, but definitely worth even for only 10 minutes stop.

Yes, i understand that the columns were from the Roman ruins of Volubilis! But this is just another quick photo stop and chance to stretch our legs. Big impressive gate, good photo op. No need to spend much time here.

The market across the street has nothing much interesting to offer anyway.
