What a perfect Moroccan experience near the Medina. The atmosphere was incredible, and the food was outrageously amazing girl. Try the beef with prunes tagine, and you will go back 3 times like we did!!!
Site by the Window on the floor pillows for the ultimate Moroccan experience.
Enjoy!!!

Very nice traditional Moroccan restaurant, you are first welcomed at the entrance with a guy pouring jasmine scented water ti wash hands,Up on the first floor you have either the option to sit inside or on the terrace. The menu is printed on wooden plates, many options of tajine that are cooked infront of u, and they are really tasty, we started with a salad which was sort of many mezze platters presented on a clay platter very delicious really.
Then the main plates: we tried the Trid chicken (made with sort of phyllo pastry covered with chicken and lentils) Brochettes (meat and chicken) and meat and vegetables tajine, all are succulent. If u left place for dessert u can enjoy a selection of moroccan pastries and ofcourse ATAY mint tea to digest and that is served like a show.
I definitely recommend it

The food is not bad but don't expect anything worthwhile. The food is mediocre and not always fresh. Had stale bread with my tajine. The price is cheap but I would not recommend it to impress guests.

A simple tourist attraction exploiting gullibility of tourists would be too harsh to say but its near close to it.

I ordered Pastilla Poulet Amande and I had the unpleasant surprise of finding a long hair in food. I asked to change but not without comments from waitress, in the end we had another surprise - we been asked paid both orders, thing then straightened.

Reaching the end of our Morocco trip. Finally getting tired of Tajine's and soup. But we had decided Moroccan food for lunch and pizza for dinner.

The place looked really decent from outside. As we entered, there was a guy standing at the bottom of the stairs with a water jug to wash our hands. The decoration on the 2nd floor was done in a tent like manner. Nice very clean. Was beginning to look slightly upscale. But I was really surprised at the menu prices - definitely cheaper or close to the low end of the prices that we had seen. So start was very promising - good decor, clean, and good prices. One downside was a few of the menu restrictions - cuoscuos only on Fri, soup only after 4PM. We ordered some Tajines and Rice. In the meantime, the waitress had already put a bottle of water on our table. We didn't need it since we ordered drinks and they didn't charge for it either since we didn't use it. Finally, some good honest management.

Rice came in earlier. It was prepared well. Definitely not the cheapest quality rice that we had seen at other places. Plus it had a good taste by itself. Tajine's took a little longer. But that was a good sign - hopefully they were going to be better. And they were - not overcooked, spicy and salt was great. For the first time in Morocco, I didn't have to add salt.

Overall, I am giving this place 5 stars - one of the best combination of decor, environment, cleanliness, view, food quality and service.
