“A most impressive and inspiring mausoleum”
Reviewed 1 October 2013

This is a place to enjoy. The tile-work, ceilings and Italian marble have been beautifully assembled. It was designed, surprisingly, by a Vietnamese architect but the style is very Moroccan. The fountains are in Zellij tile work. They are beautiful.

“Impressive!”
Reviewed 23 September 2013

The mausoleum was well worth the trip in order to see a great minaret and view of the river. The people are friendly and the guards welcome pictures.

“one of the top "must see" of the city”
Reviewed 4 September 2013

the most famous attraction of the city, the mausoleum is part of a complex where you can find also the Hassan tower and some ruins from the 1755 earthquake.

It´s a very interesting place to visit, and the people are very friendly, I´m talking about the guards. They even pose for the pictures, this is something that doesn´t happen much often in Morocco.

“An insight into Morocco”
Reviewed 16 August 2013

I enjoyed this a lot, a modern Muslim mausoleum, located in a centuries old unfinished mosque for a relatively young monarchy who pushed the boundaries a bit in terms of opulence in their family shrine. The guards. Including horse guards are great and we have some great photos with them. A place of great contrast.
